September 2020
Welcome to the 2020/2021 school year!
Psalm 34:7-10
“The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. “

Take refuge in the Lord and you will have all you need, not just for the FIRST day of middle school, but for ALL your days of middle school!
Welcome to the 2020-21 School Year! Isn’t God good to let us be together, even if it's in our Google classrooms? We are so excited to see your faces on the first day of school. Know that we are all praying for you and can’t wait to get to know each of you. This year might look a little different… but that’s ok! This is our time to blaze a new trail…and to follow Jesus wherever He leads us! Happy 1st Day of Middle School Everyone!

In Christ,

Mrs. Orr

The Guiding Principle for how we’ve designed our Distance Learning is to replicate a normal school day in both policy and procedure. We will have a regular schedule and a more robust plan.

  • Students will be in class with virtual live instruction and times of autonomous learning each day.
  • Each teacher will have "Start Here" videos that will be posted each week for each class on Royal Notes and also in your student’s Google Classrooms. These are designed to give you a brief overview of what to expect and what’s coming up in each class.
  • Video Recording Permissions--Please know that for students and teachers safety we will be recording the teacher connection times each day to protect our teachers and students.
  • Make sure to log into your chrome account and use your school email, not personal accounts
  • Attendance Matters: Camera must be on in order for you to be counted as present in class. Be in dress code.
  • Assignments are due at 8:00am or during your class time on the given due date.
  • Grading: PASS is where you will find the real grades-- not in Google Classroom
  • For attendance reasons, if you’re having any technical difficulties, you MUST let your teacher know right away.

Please see the Distance Learning - Syllabus Addendum below for all of the details regarding Distance Learning!
