Have you ever noticed how some people are able to manage their time so well they appear to have all the time in the world to stop and, excuse the cliché, smell the roses, while others run around in a constant and, quite frankly, tiring state of pandemonium? All. The. Time. To help you learn how to manage your time, here are some helpful hints:

1.)     Write a “to-do” list every day and refer to it often.
2.)     Get off the multi-tasking treadmill and focus on one project at a time.
3.)     Texting and emailing take up an inordinate amount of time. Try picking up the phone instead.
4.)     Social Media is a time waster. Limit the number of times you check your feeds. You’ll be amazed with how much time you’ll save.
5.)     Set boundaries with friends and family, asking them not to call, text or email during working hours.
6.)     Devise timesaving strategies. For example, if a potential client asks me for a written proposal, I explain that my basic Letter of Agreement will include a detailed description outlining the scope of the project based on our previous conversations. In other words, try “killing two birds with one stone.”

And finally, stop boasting about how “busy” you are and focus on being in the moment.
