4th International Cancer Research Conference a Success

On Saturday, November 17, 2018, WCRG hosted its 4th Biennial International Cancer Research Conference at Caesars Windsor. The conference was attended by over 160 scientists, clinicians, nurses, research associates, administrators and students who came together from Windsor-Essex, our neighbouring communities of London and Michigan and other Canadian research institutions to share their latest research findings.
First Mock Cancer Education Day for CURE Class
On December 18th, students in Dr. Lisa Porter's third year Cancer Undergrad Research Education (CURE) course hosted a mock Cancer Education Day. Each student showcased their final project to judges who represented different audiences from our community: health care professionals, youth, patients, administrators, researchers, educators and business people. In 2019, you will see these projects rolled out to the community. To give you an idea of what's to come, check out some photos from the day and WCRG's new YouTube Channel created by Nevin Pota.

WCRG Research Ambassador and Pro Am Tournament event chair, Jeff Casey is leading a group of dedicated individuals to host a hockey experience that will raise money for cancer research. At a press conference on December 10th, Jeff Casey, David Musyj, Dora Cavallo-Medved and Todd Warriner shared their commitment and excitement for the upcoming event. For the latest press coverage on the event go to the WCRG Website.
