Collaborative Conference Enjoyed by Many
|
On Saturday, November 19, 2016, WCRG hosted its 3rd Biennial International Cancer Research Conference
at Caesars Windsor. The conference was attended by over 160 scientists, clinicians, nurses, research associates, administrators and students who
came together from Windsor-Essex, our neighbouring communities of London and Michigan and other Canadian research institutions to share their latest research findings.
The conference featured two keynote speakers, Dr. Elizabeth Eisenhauer from Queen's University and Kingston General Hospital (Kingston, ON) and Dr. Shoukat Dedhar from the University of British Columbia and the BC Cancer Agency (Vancouver, BC). The conference also included 14 oral presentations, 40 poster presentations and 15 sponsors.
We'd like to thank all participants, sponsors, student volunteers and the conference committee for making this international cancer research conference a success!!

! The objective of the WCRG Think Tank series is to bring people together and share research ideas in an effort to build collaborative projects and increase the number of cancer research grant submissions.
