Spring Cleaning Donations Drive for Welcome House
Welcome House is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Clubhouse for adults in Delaware County PA. Welcome House is a program that offers individuals with mental illness hope and opportunities to reach their full potential in the working, learning, and social environments of their choice. West Chester University donations will support the Welcome House Thrift Shop.
We are collecting the following items (new or gently used):
- Women's Clothing (regular and plus sizes)
- Men's Clothing (all sizes)
- Men's and Women's Footwear
- CDs and DVDs
Please drop off donations to the donation box in the reception area of our Academic & Classroom Suite by April 1st.

Financial Aid Appointments on the Philadelphia Campus
There are still appointments available to meet with Dan McIlhenny, Sr. Associate Director for Financial Aid, on the Philadelphia Campus on
March 19th and 20th between 3:00 and 8:00pm.
Appointments will be scheduled in 20-minute increments, so please request appointments on the hour, at 20 minutes after the hour, or 40 minutes after the hour. For example, the first three appointments will be held at 3:00PM, 3:20PM, and 3:40PM.
To schedule, contact Marcie Cohen with your preferred date and time, as well as a brief description of what you'd like to speak with Dan about so that he may prepare for your appointment in advance.

Coffee Chat and Tour for Prospective Students, March 6th, 12-12:30pm
Do you have friends, family members, or coworkers interested in your degree program? Invite them to one of WCU Philadelphia’s coffee chats! Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the degree programs at the Philadelphia campus and tour the Academic Suite and Student Success Center. The 30-minute session offers an informal way to get a snapshot of the student experience in less time than it takes to eat lunch. Help them find out how WCU Philadelphia can support students in achieving their personal and professional goals at the next coffee chat.

On the WCU West Chester Campus
DubC Film Race, begins April 6th:
The 48HRFR is a 48-Hour Student Video Competition open to all currently registered West Chester University and Cheyney University undergraduate students.
The 48HRFR is a creative arts opportunity where students team up with friends and produce a short film – write it, shoot it, edit it, and produce it...all in just 48 hours! Student teams gather,
pre-register
, and then will actually draw to find out their genre, a prop, and other film elements. Once you have your those key elements... GO! Students have 48 hours to turn around a 3-5 minute professionally crafted film. The films are then judged by professionals in the industry and awarded cash and swag prizes from West Chester Film Festival and others.
*Kick-off event can be livestreamed on the Philadelphia Campus, but one representative from each team will need to attend the Awards Reception on April 19th.
