Making great community radio is much more than the voice on the air!
It'll change your life!
Be part of WCUW's next 50 years!
Here are some of the Volunteer Opportunities waiting for you ...
Music Coordinator: Develop and administer activities related to the WCUW Music Department. This includes the intake and sharing of new music. Public Affairs Coordinator: Interact with area non-profits and cultural organizations to assist with promoting their mission and special events. Work on-site and remote.
Day Captain: Day Captains will monitor the on-air activity of their assigned day. What WCUW day do you like best? With your computer, you can ensure the day runs smoothly. Work remotely.
LOBE e-newsletter: Assist with overseeing the visual images and calendar content of our weekly newsletter, The LOBE. Work on-site and remote.
Social Media Coordinator: Assist in a range of marketing activities. Will work with the office and on-air programmers in promoting special shows, events, etc. Work on-site and remote.
Events Coordinator: Assist in all aspects of producing concerts or special presentations in our FRONTROOM Performance space as well as live in-studio events. Work on-site and remote.
Sound Engineer: Assist with sound needs for FRONTROOM and live on-air events. On-site.
Assistant Show Producer/Board Operator: Assist the Program host with producing their show. Oversee the airing and scheduled inserts for pre-recorded programs. On-site.
These are all "hands-on" volunteer opportunities and many can be performed remotely. Be part of the next 50 years of unobstructed radio and let your presence in Worcestertown USA be known world-wide! Training will be provided.

Arny Spielberg joins Troy Tyree on the Friday Jukebox of Americana to share info about Workshop13’s Rock the Park Music and Arts Festival.
Workshop13 is a community-based arts organization located in Ware, where I’m proud to serve as a volunteer member of the events committee.
On Saturday, July 29, Workshop13 will host our fourth annual Rock the Park Music and Arts Festival in Ware's Grenville Park. This theme of this year’s event is the 50th anniversary of the famous concert at Watkins Glen.
As you may know, in 1973, the original Summer Jam at Watkins Glen attracted 600,000 concertgoers to hear the three great featured bands: The Allman Brothers Band, the Grateful Dead, and The Band.
