Thursday, April 10, and Friday, April 11: Cinema Worcester at the Frontroom Presents “No Other Land”
Cinema Worcester in conjunction with the WCUW Frontroom presents “No Other Land”, a film by Yuval Abraham, Basel Adra, Rachel Szor, Hamdan Ballal.
An elegantly assembled diary of the Palestinian experience, No Other Land, winner of the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature Film, is a harrowing document that leaves traces of hope for a better future.
For half a decade, Basel Adra, a Palestinian activist, films his community of Masafer Yatta being destroyed by Israel’s occupation, as he builds an unlikely alliance with a journalist from the other side who joins his fight.
Showing the destruction of homes and villages in the West Bank region of Masafer Yatta by Israeli military forces, No Other Land looks at the conflict through the eyes of both Israeli and Palestinian filmmakers Abraham, Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal and Rachel Szor. It also shows the differences in freedom Abraham experiences versus the limits Adra faces as a Palestinian activist.

Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13: Cinema Worcester at the Frontroom Presents “Thank You Very Much”
Cinema Worcester in conjunction with the WCUW Frontroom presents “Thank You Very Much”, a film by Alex Braverman.
Thank You Very Much traces the life and career of legendary performance artist Andy Kaufman, exploring his gonzo, boundary-shattering comedy which provoked audiences, often outraging them. The film reveals a nuanced understanding of what drove this performer, who inspired an entire generation of offbeat comedians and entertainers after him.
Rare, never before seen footage and audio recordings shine a new light on Kaufman’s creative process. Newly uncovered archival footage and intimate recollections of friends, colleagues, and family members is included, along with interviews with Kaufman’s closest collaborators such as Steve Martin, Bob Zmuda, Lynne Margulies, Danny DeVito, and Marilu Henner.

Thursday, April 17, Saturday, April 19, and Sunday, April 20: Cinema Worcester at the Frontroom Presents “Secret Mall Apartment”
Cinema Worcester in conjunction with the WCUW Frontroom presents “Secret Mall Apartment”, a film by Jeremy Workman.
In 2003, eight Rhode Islanders created a secret apartment inside the busy Providence Place Mall and kept it going for four years, filming everything along the way. Far more than just a wild prank, the secret mall apartment became an incredibly meaningful act for all the participants, at once an act of defiance against local gentrification, a boundary-pushing work of public/private art, and a 750 square foot space that sticks it to the man.
“Deliriously entertaining and moving.” Bilge Ebiri, Vulture
“Fascinating…A delightful, thought-provoking movie that’s about a lot of things at the same time. It’ll make you see the world with fresh eyes.” Matt Zoller Seitz, RogerEbert.com
“Impossibly compelling… Has the tension and fun of a crime caper” Paste Magazine
“Remarkable…A dazzling doc that’s a kiss-off to gentrification.” The Daily Beast

LeBeau is an artist living and working in Central Massachusetts. She works in multiple mediums and disciplines and always deeply explores the matters that resonate most strongly in her soul. Saturday, April 26: Troy Mercy and Hadley Lloyd at the FRONTROOM
Come see Troy Mercy and Hadley Lloyd at the WCUW Frontroom.
Troy Mercy and Hadley Lloyd bring the raw sound of Electric
Blues into the 21st Century. A power-duo that plays brave new blues. With Troy on vocal, guitar, and harmonica; and Hadley on drums and vocal.
Troy toured as guitarist with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Booker T. Jones. And Hadley is fresh on the scene with surprising grooves. She heats up the stage like a spike of lightning.
Pushing boundaries with fearless performance, artful lyrics, hooks and melody, they extend the tradition and create the future.
“This duo is like Lightnin’ Hopkins playing with The Small Faces while David Lynch films it.” -Alan Smithee

Meet Music Worcester’s 2026 Artist in Residence, Everett McCorvey.
Tenor, impresario, teacher, and conductor, Everett’s residency brings concerts, events, and learning to Worcester, including work within the Worcester Public Schools and community organizations.
A performance with his American Spiritual Ensemble will kick off his residency, and continues with the Worcester Children’s Chorus, Many Voices Youth Singers, Worcester Chorus, and more. His residency will also partner with OpporTUNEity whose mission is to break the school-to-prison pipeline through music education. Looking ahead at our year with Everett, we’re excited to introduce him to new ensembles and performers within the City of Worcester, and to allow musicians to learn from such an acclaimed artist.
“Worcester has such a vibrant arts community,” McCorvey exclaimed. “I first noticed it a year ago when the American Spiritual Ensemble tour came to Worcester. And, when I attended the first BACHtoberfest weekend of concerts last fall I was truly impressed with the level of participation both on the stage and in the audience. I’m excited to be a part of this lively musical community and create special memories for all.”
