“Songs For A Lost Generation”

With Norm Rosen

Beginning January 3rd, 2025,

It's New Wave plus on “Songs For A Lost Generation” with Norm Rosen Friday Afternoons from 4:00 PM TO 5:00 PM.

This format and music was Norm’s first significant radio gig, which started in the late 80’s. What’s featured is mid- and late-70s Glam, Progressive, and Punk through the New Wave of the 80s. Most commercial stations tout themselves as going back to Alternative Roots, only going back to the 90s, thus disenfranchising the tail end of Baby Boomers and all of GenX.

My show’s name honors those like me who love the vast choices the 80s rendered.

Then Our Blues Block begins at 5:00PM with Darren and The Mayor with Friday Night Blues

Then from 9:00PM to Midnight,

I’m back with Traditional Blues with Friday Night Fish Fry

ONE DOOR CLOSES: Korey's Courage

Named most inspiring feature documentary by the Detroit Trinity International Film Festival and best local feature by the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival.

The Chris Fitz Band is a hot pot of blues jambalaya, mixing swing, jump, Chicago and Texas blues styles with a healthy dose of funk, soul, rock-n-roll, and a touch of British blues rock (think Eric Clapton with the Blues Breakers and Cream).

This power trio has a spicy sound all their own, and they’re bring it to the FRONTROOM, presented by WCUW’s Friday Night Blues with Darren and the Mayor.

Saturday, January 25 7:30pm. Tickets $10 at the door.
