PICTURE WEEK is wrapping up this weekend with our Friday and Saturday classes. It has been a fun week and all of the dancers have looked so great in their costumes!

Recital Reminders ~ Preschool thru Adult Classes

We are so excited for our 2022 recitals for preschool through adult classes the week of May 31st - June 4th at East Ridge High School in Woodbury.

RECITAL INFORMATION
A Recital Packet filled with important info was passed out to all dancers in March. Be sure to read through it so you are up-to-date on all things RECITAL! Did you misplace your packet? Click the link to see a copy.

TICKET ORDERS
Tickets are available to order for $16.00 each. Dancers received a ticket ordering envelope in class the week of March 14th. Orders must be placed in person at WDC using the ticket ordering envelope.
  • Deadline to order for the first drawing for seating is Friday, April 15th by 7:00 p.m.
  • All family and friends will need a ticket to watch the show.  You are guaranteed to be able to purchase up to six tickets per family (not per dancer) per show.  If you would like to purchase more than six tickets, please include the additional number of tickets you would like with your order and we will do our best to complete your full order.
  • Small children/infants that will be sitting on a parent’s lap do not require a ticket.
  • Seating location is decided on a drawing basis. This eliminates the need for anyone to stand in a long line to purchase tickets. 
  • NEW this year! Dance families who purchase recital tickets will automatically receive a link of their dancer's show(s) video to view/download. The links will be sent in mid-July. 

PROGRAM SHOUT OUTS
Our full color Recital Program will be back for this years shows! Congratulate your dancer(s) on a great year by placing an ad with photo and text options.

RECITAL T-SHIRTS
Show shirts are now available to order for both the "It's Showtime" recital and "Totally Tots" showcase. Shirts are totally optional, but are a fun souvenir for your dancer. Click the links to see the shirts and order - please place your order by Saturday, April 9th. Sample sizes can be seen at the main studio front desk area.

RECITAL GIFTS
YDE (Youth Dance and Enrichment non-profit organization) will once again be offering flowers, balloons and stuffed animals/gifts at WDC Recitals! Watch for the YDE PRESALE order form in early May. Please note, while they will have everything they can available at each recital, pre-ordering is the only way to ensure that you get what you want for your dancer’s big day!

REMINDER FOR ALL TOTS CLASSES

Tots Showcase performances will take place on Sunday, May 22nd.

  • No Tickets are needed for this performance!
  • 6 family members/friends may attend the show

Hairpieces to the Rescue
Looking for an easy way to style your dancer’s hair for recital and pictures? Try a hairpiece!
Put up hair in a bun, attach a 'curly hair' scrunchie or another available style and you are set! Just make sure the hair piece is secured with hair pins for the show. A variety of hair colors are available in the WDC Boutique and are 15% off this month.
Trophy Note Reminder
All dancers received their Trophy Note in class the week of March 14th with information on the number of years they have danced at WDC.

Dancers who have danced at WDC for 3, 5, 7, 10, 12 and 15 years will be recognized with a special trophy and will be listed in our recital program book. We do our best to keep our records up to date but may occasionally miss someone, especially if they have not been at the studio for consecutive years.

If the number of years listed on your dancer's note is not correct, please inform us of any changes by Friday, April 1st. Thank you!
Tots, Preschool, and Kindergarten Classes- Monthly Themes
Our theme this month for tots, preschool, and kindergarten classes is: “Springtime Superheroes & Princesses!". We will have special songs, games, activities, along with dance specific skill goals and life/social skill goals that will be worked on each month.
Superhero & Princess Week is April 11th - 16th. Dancers in tots, preschool, & kindergarten classes are invited to wear their favorite princess or superhero attire!
