**REMINDER - SPRING BREAK WEEK
MONDAY, MARCH 6TH - SATURDAY, MARCH 11TH
No classes will be held
**EXCEPTION - Wednesday classes WILL BE held on March 8th.
This is due to a third Wednesday night 'Snow Day' on Feb 22nd.
Classes will be held at the usual time that evening

We hope our dancers have a fun-filled break!
Music and Practice Videos are available on the BAND APP.
It would be a great week to get set up and practice at home or while on vacation! (see info below)

Recital Dates & News

We are excited to be begin plans for our 2023 recitals for preschool through adult classes. Shows will be held May 3oth - June 3rd at East Ridge High School in Woodbury.

Please click HERE to view the recital schedule for specific dates/times for each class. More information about dress rehearsals the week of May 22nd - 25th will be available soon.

Recital ticket information will be sent out in March in the Recital Info packet.


PROGRAM SHOUT OUTS
Congratulate your dancer(s) on a great year by placing an ad in our full color Recital Program! Choose your photos and set your text - Look for information soon!

RECITAL GIFTS
YDE (Youth Dance and Enrichment non-profit organization) will once again be offering flowers, balloons and stuffed animals/gifts at WDC Recitals! Watch for the YDE PRESALE ordering information later this month and please note while they will have everything they can available at each recital, pre-ordering is the only way to ensure that you get what you want for your dancer’s big day!
**Recital gifts will not be available for WDC Tots Showcase on May 21st


RECITAL COSTUMES
Look for updates regarding when costumes will be distributed in class.
**REMINDER- If you have a balance due on your account, your child’s costume will not be handed out in class. Costumes may be picked up at the front desk once your account is up to date. If you are unable to pay off the entire balance due, please contact us to make payment arrangements. Payments can be made at the front desk, online, over the phone, etc. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you!
TOTS CLASSES
Tots Showcase performances will take place on Sunday, May 21st for all tots classes. See the recital schedule HERE. Specific times will be assigned soon. There will be no dress rehearsal for the tots classes prior to their Showcase performance. Look for more information in the Tots Showcase information packet which will be distributed later in March.

Tots Showcase Costumes: Look for updates regarding when costumes will be distributed in class.
Hip Hop shoes: 
Dancers in recreational classes with Hip Hop and boys only classes with Hip Hop will be required to purchase Black High Top Converse shoes for recitals. The rims of the sole should be white, however the color of the bottom of the sole does not matter. Other brands may also work as long as they look the same as the Converse brand and do not include any additional colored detailing. These shoes will not be available through WDC.
Dancers will need to purchase them through local retail stores. They are often sold at Famous Footwear, Kohl’s and JC Penney as well as many online retailers. 

**Shoes will need to be purchased prior to picture week: March 27th – April 1st as dancers will need to wear shoes in pictures. Shoes should only be worn for pictures, dress rehearsals and recitals.

HAIR PIECES TO THE RESCUE

Looking for an easy way to style your dancer’s hair for recital and pictures? Try a hairpiece!
Put up hair in a bun, attach a 'curly hair' scrunchie or another available style and you are set! Just make sure the hair piece is secured with hair pins for the show. Lots of colors are available in the WDC Boutique.
TROPICAL WEEK
It's time to get in Spring Break mood! -
Tropical Week is February 27th - March 4th
All recreational dancers are invited to wear fun summer/beach attire! Dancers in Preschool & Kindergarten classes may also bring a beach towel to use during class this week.

**Dress in your best tropical clothing and bring a beach towel to stretch on during class.

PICTURE WEEK!
Individual & Class photos will be taken Monday, March 27th through Saturday, April 1st at Woodbury Dance Center. 

  • Classes will NOT be held on those dates due to picture scheduling.
  • ALL classes will have their pictures scheduled at a time similar to their regular class day/time. 
  • Your dancers scheduled Picture Day and time will be distributed the week of March 13th.

Beginning March 13th, PRIORITY Registration will begin for current students.

Students new to WDC may register starting March 20th.
