Recital Costumes
Recreational class costumes for Tots - 1st/2nd, as well as 3rd-5th Lyrical will be passed out in class beginning March 22nd.
**If you have a balance due on your account, your child’s costume will not be handed out in class. Costumes may be picked up at the front desk once your account is up to date. If you are unable to pay off the entire balance due, please contact us to make payment arrangements. Payments can be made at the front desk, online, over the phone, etc. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you!
Recital Dates

We are excited to be begin our plans for our 2021 recitals the week of June 1st-5th. 
With current restrictions on the number of audience members, we are preparing for three possible options for recital performances for our recreational classes, as well as our competitive groups.

PRESCHOOL THROUGH ADULT CLASSES
Plan A — Recitals for Preschool through Adult classes @ ERHS with current schedule of classes/groups. Audience size may be limited. Please HERE to view the recital schedule for Plan A. Recital ticket information will be sent out later this spring.
 
Plan B — Shortened recitals @ ERHS with fewer classes/groups per show. Recitals would be scheduled on the same dates posted for plan A. New show times would announced for those dates. 
 
Plan C — Performances at WDC WEST location with each recreational class and Pre-Comp group performing separately for family including lights in a stage like setting. 
 
As we learn more regarding the guidelines for performances and audience sizes, we will confirm which plan we will be moving forward with for 2021 recitals. Stay tuned for more information!

TOTS CLASSES
Tots Showcase performances will take place on Sunday, May 23rd for all tots classes. See the recital schedule HERE. Specific times will be assigned soon. There will be no dress rehearsal for the tots classes prior to their Showcase performance. Look for more information in the Tots Showcase information packet which will be distributed later this spring.

***As we move toward our year-end performances, we will be transitioning our tots classes so that parents will no longer be in the classroom with their dancer as of March 1st. Teacher assistants will be added to the classroom where needed. This will allow instructors to prepare the dancers for their showcase routine performance. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Tots Showcase & Recital Costumes: We are anticipating that costumes will be passed out the end of March.
Hip Hop shoes: 
Dancers in recreational classes with Hip Hop and boys only classes with Hip Hop will be required to purchase Black High Top Converse shoes with white soles for recitals. Other brands may also work as long as they look the same as the Converse brand and do not include any additional colored detailing. These shoes will not be available through WDC.
Dancers will need to purchase them through local retail stores. They are often sold at Famous Footwear, Kohl’s and JC Penney as well as many online retailers. You can view a picture of the shoe style HERE.

**Shoes will need to be purchased prior to picture week: April 12th - 17th, as dancers will need to wear shoes in pictures. Shoes should only be worn for pictures, dress rehearsals and recitals.

Hairpieces to the Rescue
Looking for an easy way to style your dancer’s hair for recital and pictures? Try a hairpiece!
Put up hair in a bun, attach a 'curly hair' scrunchie or another available style and you are set! Just make sure the hair piece is secured with hair pins for the show. Lots of colors are available in the WDC Boutique.
Tots, Preschool, and Kindergarten Classes- Monthly Themes

Our theme this month for tots, preschool, and kindergarten classes is: “Tropical Dance Party!”. We will have special songs, games, activities, along with dance specific skill goals and life/social skill goals that will be worked on each month.
Tropical Week is March 1st-6th Dancers in tots, preschool, & kindergarten classes are invited to wear their best summer, beach attire! Dancers in preschool & kindergarten classes may also bring a beach towel to use during class that week.

PICTURE WEEK!
Individual and Class photos will be taken Monday, April 12th – Saturday, April 17th at Woodbury Dance Center. 
  • Classes will NOT be held on those dates due to picture scheduling.
  • ALL classes will have their pictures scheduled at a time similar to their regular class day/time (including morning & Friday/Saturday classes). 
  • Your dancers scheduled Picture Day and time will be distributed the week of March 22nd.

“Beach Bash” Dance Camp

Tuition: $20

You head to Target....they head to the BEACH!!
Come dressed in beach/summer wear and enjoy a tropical day. Dancers will have fun coloring, making a fun beach inspired craft and singing & dancing with their friends!


SUMMER DANCE - Summer Schedule will be announced soon!
Beginning March 15th, PRIORITY Registration will begin for current students.
Students new to WDC may register starting March 22nd.
