As our 2025–26 dance season wraps up, we want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our dance families for trusting us with your children. It has been such a joy to watch our dancers learn, grow, and SHINE throughout the year, and we truly appreciate being part of their journey. We hope this season has been filled with fun, confidence, and special memories for every dancer.

A quick reminder that May will be the final tuition payment for the 2025–26 dance season.

Our staff has been hard at work preparing all of our WDC dancers for this year’s recital, “Shine On,” and we can’t wait to see them take the stage and share all they’ve accomplished.

We hope to continue dancing with many of you this summer and into next season! Our Summer Schedule is now available (see the link at the bottom of this newsletter). The 2026–27 class schedule will begin going home with students starting May 2nd, and registration for current students opens May 7th.

RECITALS ARE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!

Be sure to pay close attention to emails coming from WDC in the upcoming weeks. We will send important reminders and information regarding rehearsals and recitals. Dancers in Preschool through 12th grade classes are receiving a recital information/reminder sheet in class this week which is also available HERE.

Tickets: Have you ordered your Recital Tickets? Act fast - if you have not already done so, please secure your tickets now, before additional seats open up for purchase. Make sure your family doesn't miss out by placing your original ticket order promptly:

• Go to the TutuTix website - HERE
• Choose your dancer’s Recital **Be sure to TRIPLE CHECK that you are ordering tickets for the correct DAY AND TIME. There are a total of 7 Recitals, some on the same day. See schedule HERE.
• Choose your seats - up to 6 tickets per family (not per dancer), per show. Any additional tickets purchased will be automatically canceled.
• Check out!
• Please look for a confirmation email from TutuTix to ensure your order is complete.

Recital Video Reminder: We are excited to offer an all-digital, on-line recital video experience. All 2026 recital dances will be shot and edited in beautiful High-Definition and will be made available to each paid ticket holder from each show. We will send dance families the link to view performances from their show(s)*.

*Show links will be sent out by the end of June.

Flash Drives -- Creative Edge also offers the option for parents to order flash drives with a digital copy of their dancer's routine(s). See their website HERE for more information and to order online.

Recital T-Shirts: Dancers who pre-ordered a recital t-shirt can pick them up at the front desk beginning Monday, May 4th. A limited number of additional T-shirts are available for purchase.

East Ridge High School is currently under construction. The Activities Entrance is closed at this time, so we ask all dancers and families to enter through either the Gym Entrance or the Main Building Entrance.

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

Practice Sheets - Dancers in Preschool thru 4th/6th grade received practice charts in class. They are encouraged to practice at home and return the practice chart any week before the end of the season for a prize!

Class Shows - In the weeks leading up to recitals, classes often are given an opportunity to perform for another class at the studio during their class time. They are also able to be an audience for the other class(es). This experience helps prepare the dancers for their recital performance by giving them the opportunity to dance in front of an audience (some of them for the first time).

Is your dancer ready to take their dance to another level? Audition information for our 2026-2027 competition teams is now posted on our website and available at our front desk. Woodbury Dance Center offers many different types and levels of competition lines for ages 4 and up!

*Pom Teams -- ages 5 & up

*Hip Hop Krew -- ages 7 & up
