HOLIDAY PARTIES ARE BACK! |
Dancers in the following age level/classes will be having a short Holiday Viewing for their family during a class in December:
- Pre 1 & 2
- Kgn/1st
- Hip Hop ages 4-6
- Ballet Only - Pre and Kgn
We look forward to showing you a sample of what we have been working on so far this fall, as well as sharing a Holiday Routine or two!

Monthly Theme for Tots & Preschool classes |
|
Our theme this month for tots and preschool classes is: “I Am Thankful!”.
We will have special songs, games, activities, along with dance specific skill goals and life/social skill goals that will be worked on each month.
Tots and Preschool Dancers are invited to bring a favorite stuffed animal friend to class the week of Nov 14th - 19th.

November Costume Payments
All dancers participating in our annual Tots Showcase or WDC Recital are required to make their second costume payment by November 15th (per class they are participating in). Please see the costume payment schedule below.
Costume totals:
Tots $70
Classes with 1 Costume: $80
Classes with 2 costumes: $160
Costume Payments are as follows:
Tots through 12th grade (one costume)
$40 payment due per student per class on October 15th
$40 payment due per student/per class on November 15th ($30 due for Tots classes)
7th-12th Grade Tap/Jazz Combo (2 Costumes)
$80 payment due per student on October 15th
$80 payment due per student on November 15th
Payments will be run automatically on the due dates using the credit card information on file in your account.
Costume payments will be nonrefundable after December 1st.
Boys classes’ full costume fee will be announced this spring. They were charged a $40 payment on October 15th and the balance will be due this spring after costumes have been finalized.

FOOD DRIVE — We will be hosting a food drive in November for the Open Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf (formerly Christian Cupboard) in Oakdale. Dancers are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items and drop them off near the front desk between November 1st -12th. Below is a list of items that the food shelf is requesting at this time of year.
A financial donation to Open Cupboard provides the greatest leverage on your contribution. They are fortunate to partner with a number of organizations in the community from which they purchase food in bulk at a discounted price. Because of this partnership, 'a dollar in our hands can stretch as much as ten times farther than that of a normal consumer". Your $10 donation can be used to provide approximately 100 pounds of food. Monetary donations can be for any amount and can be paid by cash or check to Open Cupboard.
Items the food shelf is requesting–
· Meats, fish, and protein: canned tuna, ham or chicken, beef stew, chili, peanut butter, canned/dried beans
· Fruits and vegetables: 100% fruit juice, canned fruits and vegetables, instant potatoes, fruit preserves
· Complete meals: pasta & sauce, boxed meals, hearty soups
With your help, our Food Drive will be a HUGE success!!

REMINDERS:
To avoid parking lot congestion, please do not drop off or pick up dancers in front of the doors.
When picking up, please do not wait at the drop off/pick up spot if your dancer is not there. Please plan to circle the building again or find a parking spot and wait until they are ready to come out to the car.
Thank you for helping to keep our dancers safe by following this parking plan.

Winter will soon be here!! Classes cancelled due to extreme weather will be communicated to our dance families as follows - email, WDC website, Facebook Page and Instagram posts, as well as the studio voicemail system.
NEW THIS YEAR- texts will be sent out through our SMS system. Be sure that your contact information is up to date in your account.
Please be sure to check in if you are unsure whether or not classes will be held.
For morning class cancellations, we generally follow South Washington School closures. Afternoon/evening class cancellations are made in the afternoon based on travel conditions and weather forecasts. If you do not feel safe driving to the studio, you are always welcome to have your dancer attend a make-up class.
Each class has two snow days built into our yearly schedule. If class has to be canceled more than twice on any given day, a make up date will be scheduled.

BOUTIQUE GIFT ITEMS – Our studio boutique is open during business hours. Dancers and parents are welcome to stop in to shop for dance wear and shoes. Gift items including sweatshirts, studio jackets, pajama pants, dance bags, winter hats/scarves and more are available for your holiday shopping needs!

NEW SESSION CLASSES STARTING!
Session 2 of our 6-8 week classes starts soon!
Classes will be offered for dancers ages 2-3 and 3-5. Do you have a friend/neighbor who is interested in getting their little one into a class? Session classes are a great way to try dance!
Classes run from Wednesday, November 2nd – Thursday, December 15th.
(No Classes for Thanksgiving Break: Wednesday, November 23rd/Thursday, November 24th)

Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser – Later this month ALL WDC DANCERS will be invited to participate in our Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser that will support your dancer as well as our Darby’s Dancer Program. The fundraiser will start Friday, November 18th. Please look for more information about this fundraiser to be sent via email in the next couple weeks.
