Tuesday, 1 - 4 p.m.

At 3 p.m., host Bill Dautremont-Smith talks with musician Ed McKendry and producer and recording engineer Phil Joly about Ed's just-released solo album Blue Steps that they co-produced.

Ed was one of the guitarists in the award-winning Air Products corporate band "The Difference", and on this new solo album recorded during the pandemic, Ed plays just about all the instrumentation and sings on a set of his original compositions. Phil Joly is a Grammy-winning recording engineer who was the chief engineer at the famed Electric Lady studios in NYC who has recently returned to the Lehigh Valley and set up his own studio. We'll talk about the production of this new album and listen to selected tracks, as well as exploring a little of each of their backgrounds.

Roots reggae happens at midnight with Peter Tosh bringing the fire to the party, and we'll celebrate Bob Dylan turning 80!

John Pearce welcomes Dr. Bryon Grigsby, 16th president of Moravian College and Seminary, who shares the process behind the recent announcement that Moravian College will soon become Moravian University, and how that change benefits the historical learning institution.

John then hosts Adrian Shanker and Kristen Leipert who explain a cooperative venture between the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBTCommunity Center and Muhlenberg College with the LGBT oral history project's first collection "Stories from LGBT Older Adults in the Lehigh Valley."

The Special Focus for May is Argyre Planitia. That's Stefan Voß of Hannover, Germany. The music of Argyre Planitia leans toward the darker edges of ambient and includes drones and experimental sounds. The main focus is on sounds. Melody and rhythm play only a minor role.
On the next Galactic Travels™, the month-long focus on Argyre Planitia concludes. The Featured CD at Midnight will be Echoes from the Past.
