Jason Mraz, Brantley Gilbert, Jim Gaffigan, Kesha, Marc Broussard, Colony House, Marshall Crenshaw, Squirrel Nut Zippers, The Original Wailers, and We Are Scientists are among the nearly 400 performers taking the stage as part of the 35th edition of Musikfest , the nation’s largest free-admission music festival. The event, set for Aug. 3-12 in Bethlehem, will feature music at 16 of its 18 total venues, with more than 500 free music and art performances during its 10-day run.

At the Movies Mission: Impossible - Fallout
Paul Willistein of the Lehigh Valley Press re views the sixth installment in the  Mission: Impossible film series and the second directed by Christopher McQuarrie. The film stars, among others, Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Angela Bassett, and Henry Cavill.

Eleanor Bobrow welcomes guest Donald Miles to discuss our national parks and the threats they face in the current political climate. Listeners may recognize Don's voice as one of WDIY's local hosts for All Things Considered on Fridays . At 2:00 pm, WDIY's Musikfest 2018 features continue when host Scott Sherk talks with The Big Drops . The New Jersey-based psychedelic rockers will also perform live, providing a preview of their Musikfest performance for later this day.

The ballads - compiled by Harvard professor Francis James Child - have been recorded by folk artists such as Joan Baez and Bob Dylan, by rockers such as Led Zeppelin and Fairport Convention, and more recently by groups such as the Decemberists and Crooked Still. Musings: Jakopa's Punch at Musikfest
At 3:30 pm, catch the rebroadcast of host Maxx Foxx’s interview with J.P. Jordan, Artistic Director at Touchstone Theatre where he previews the upcoming Musikfest performance from Jakopa’s Punch this Sunday.
