On behalf of the Hamilton Family Health Team (HFHT) Board of Directors, I am delighted to announce Gloria Jordan as our new CEO, effective November 21, 2022.
Gloria is passionate about Primary Health Care, the patient and provider experience and equitable service for people. Gloria brings with her thirty years’ experience working in the healthcare system, including six years as a critical care nurse and the remainder time as a health care leader. Her leadership experience includes serving in hospitals, community, regional government, provincial membership organizations, national health care consulting and in her own consulting and leadership practice. Gloria is an academic professor teaching health care administration and Health Information Management at Conestoga College. Gloria is adept at creating space with organizational and community leaders to advance large scale collaboratives; and advancing nimble and responsive services that benefit the community. Throughout her career, Gloria has built and maintained strong relationships that will serve the HFHT moving forward.
After having worked with the Waterloo-Wellington Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) as a Senior Director responsible for Health System Integration and Primary Health Care, Gloria opened her own business, Gloria Jordan Consulting and Leadership Coaching in 2017 where she provides consulting and executive leadership coaching. Building on her experience, Gloria has been involved in strategic and operational planning, governance leadership, primary care capacity building, and creative and innovative services to better serve those marginalized in society. Gloria is also actively involved and committed to help advance the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.
We are excited to have Gloria join the HFHT. With her track record of collaborative and innovative system improvements we look forward to our continued advancement of the HFHT’s new strategic plan as we help to build Hamilton’s health system and support the community and the patients we serve.
