TWO OF OUR OWN RECEIVE HONORS AT THE WRIGHT COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP (WCEDP) ANNUAL MEETING

CorTrust Bank in Minnesota was chosen as WCEDP Outstanding Partner of the Year. This recognition spotlights organizations that help advance WCEDP's mission of enhancing the overall economic vitality of Wright County. CorTrust Bank Vice President and WCEDP board member, Randy Voeller, accepted the award.

Below is Palmer Alexander with husband Brian, who owns Forget Me Not Cafe in Buffalo. They were awarded the 2023 Outstanding Start Up Entrepreneur of the Year award. Everyone knows and loves the great food and great service that Palmer and her staff give at the restaurant over the last few years, but they also give a lot back to the community! Congrats to you all and thank you to Jolene Foss for doing such a great job making our county and our great businesses stand out!

LAKE RIDGE and PARK VIEW CARE CENTERS ARE IN NEED OF A WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE BUS! WANT TO HELP?

For years the residents of our local care centers where we have probably all had loves ones reside over time, has had a bus to take residents out on excursions or even to shop at a grocery store. The bus is no longer reliable and they are working to buy a new one with donations from our community. They have been blessed with $20,000 already from 6 great donors, but the goal is $85,000 for a used bus. If you are interested in helping with the cause give Jill Pingel (Housing Director) a call at 763-682-1131.

ALLINA HEALTH HAS OPPORTUNITIES FOR WIRGHT COUNTY STUDENTS PURSUING A CAREER IN HEALTH CARE

The Allina Health Foundation (formerly Buffalo Hospital Foundation) will award ten $1000 scholarships this year to a student from each of the nine local school districts, as well as one homeschool or private school student who is pursuing a health care degree at a 2-year or 4-year college.

WAVE SWIM CLUB HOSTING A

SWIM-A-THON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6th

This youth non-profit organization has 70 swimmers ages 6-18 from all over Wright County. Donations from this swim-a-thon will help the group fund metered pool rentals, equipment needs, training and more! You can make a donation or be a sponsor of the event.
