In the United States, two recent laws – the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, signed into law on November 15, 2021; and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), signed into law on August 16, 2022 – represent historic opportunities to shift toward a cleaner, more just economy and society.
