It's a New Season at Shelton House.

Haywood County Treasure!
Without your support...
I t doesn't take much to help support the History, Heritage, and Crafts behind Shelton House . Place a phone call, mail a check, or click a button. The truth is, without your support, and the support of past donors, Shelton House would not be what it is today...a beautiful example of the tenacity of the Appalachian Spirit. We need you to help us maintain and preserve the house, grounds and crafts so that its beauty may be enjoyed for years to come.

What "New" is Old Again!

If you haven't been to Shelton House for the 2019 season, you haven't been to Shelton House! Things have been shaken up all winter long as much needed updates and "sprucing up" has taken place. It's an all new museum, in the same historic home with the same emphasis on the History, Heritage, and Crafts of our local North Carolinian roots. An emphasis is being placed on the history behind Shelton House, like never before, while continuing to honor the hard work and dedication of past associates like founder of the Museum, Mary Cornwell, The Village of Yesteryear, all the Artists and Crafters who have donated their beautiful work over the years, the many volunteers and workers who have helped to preserve the museum and, patrons like you!
