Feed the Need of Putnam County is so incredibly grateful for this special group of kids that came to help us with our new building. Pastor Bob Bronkema of First Presbyterian Church in Scranton, PA brought a group of teens on a mission trip to Putnam County to help out our community. Our new warehouse got a fresh coat of paint for the offices and they did an amazing job! This group also visited other local nonprofits to lend a helping hand. We were blessed to be a recipient of their good works and we truly appreciate each and every one of you that helped us accomplish this task.

Feed The Need is so thankful for the partnership State Farm has provided to host the Putnam Teens Fighting Hunger Event along with Azalea City Kiwanis Club of Palatka. This annual event will be held on September 15, 2022. We will pack bulk food into over 40,000 individual meals. 20 teen youth organizations throughout Putnam County. These bags of oatmeal and mac-n-cheese will go to our PCSD school pantries for weekend and after school food. State Farm Corporation, Azalea City Kiwanis & Kiwanis Children's Fund has sponsored this Feed The Need Event for the past 3 years. A total of $10,000.00 is donated each year to fund this event and help food insecure students locally. We appreciate your dedication to Feed the Need's mission; to end hunger for food insecure Putnam County Students allowing tomorrow's future leaders to focus on learning rather than hunger. Feed the Need is so incredibly grateful for our volunteers and working board. Our warehouse volunteers help pack, sort food, and assist with pickups. Our board is an actively participating team that helps with fundraising and networking within our community. It takes a village to provide food to over 800 food insecure Putnam County students each week and we couldn't do it without ours! A special Thank You to Misty Blevins for allowing us to have our dinner at Corky Bells with a small menu to help our cost & to our anonymous donor for paying for the dinner. Big shout out to Wayne McClain who donated car wash gift certificates for our volunteers. We are so blessed to have this amazing group of people advancing our mission. To kick off the 2022-2023 School Year we are having a Back to School Food Drive to collect Ramen Noodles, Juice Boxes & Canned Meats. All items can be dropped off at Bramlitt's off Hwy 19.
