Since I first started this company in October of 2006, I am embarrassed to say we have moved four times. Well, now it will be five! And that's because on November 17th we are moving one more (hopefully last) time.
It is true: I am guilty of being a bit nomadic. Those of you who have faithfully read this newsletter over the years know this is my 20-something move since I was 18. And that does not include all the places I lived while working on the road or the number of places I lived as a kid (believe it or not, I had 4 (yes FOUR) third grade schools, all in the same school year!
Sad, isn't it? (Joking sarcasm) I wouldn't have to share this private humiliation with you at all, except for the fact we encourage our clients to ship packages to our office. And ship to us you do!
At any given time, there are stacks of cardboard boxes all over the place. It's like Christmas every day! I even like to joke the UPS people think I'm a hoarder!
The good news about shipping to our office is your packages aren't sitting outside in the heat or where misguided people might snatch them away. And even if you have a video doorbell and/or outdoor cameras, by the time you see it, the truth is, it is probably too late for the police to do much about your missing packages.
So we encourage our clients to ship their packages to us - which they love by the way - and which means you need our new address....Not to worry, any package that has not arrived before Nov 17 should be forward to our new location.
By the way, I tried to look up the psychology associated with transients like me. And surprisingly (and against what my family has to say) all the 'experts' say there is nothing wrong with wanting a change of scenery every few years. Once I even moved on a whim from California to Virginia and I didn't know anyone there other than the realtor!
However, these last few moves have been due to life changes and trying to ready myself for eventual (read: someday) retirement. I was perfectly happy in this last home but the new one is truly wonderful. I can't imagine wanting any more than it has to offer.
If you have been shipping to our office or if you would like to ship to our office, please update your physical address for Executive Errands® to be
76947 Tricia Lane
Palm Desert, CA 92211
Our normal mailing address remains the same as it has been since the beginning:
PO Box 2782
Palm Desert, CA 92261
And please, I beg you, please address your package(s) as follows:
Your Name (where 'your name = your ACTUAL name)
% Executive Errands
76947 Tricia Lane
Palm Desert, CA 92211
Did I already tell you about the client who actually addressed all his packages to 'Your Name' -- No I am not kidding! We finally had to open one of the packages in order to figure out who sent them. So please, please put your own name on the outside of the package so we know they are yours.
Until next time, have a very Happy Thanksgiving and if you have something special to be thankful for, please send me an email to let me know. There is power in the positivity of gratitude.
I'm thankful for the BF and for the new house, for all of you loyal clients and friends and most of all, for my family, who are all healthy, happy and immensely fun to be around.
