Congregational Meeting and Vote

The congregational meeting has been rescheduled for Sunday, Feb 8, and will take place at the end of worship. The purpose of this brief meeting is to vote on the 2026 Budget and approve the By-Laws. Please review the documents listed below and submit any questions before the meeting. We hope you will make plans to attend.

RITI season has begun and we need a strong team of volunteers! We will be alternating each week between Myers Park Methodist (weeks 1, 3, and 5) and here at MPBC (weeks 2 and 4).

Pinewood Elementary Current Needs


MPBC continues to support Pinewood Elementary School. Current needs include new underwear and leggings or sweatpants for children in K–5, in all sizes for boys and girls. Kleenex is also needed throughout the school year. Donations may be placed in the marked container in the Heaton Hall entryway. Thank you for your generosity!

Through the Lens of Time: 1966


1966: A Year of Bold Growth and Big Impact

Crisis and courage met in 1966. While supporting Dr. Marney through a life‑threatening illness, the church rose with courage, launching bold mission work, deepening global partnerships, and stepping into its identity with renewed strength.

Through-the-Week School December 2025 Update


TTWS currently serves 164 students, with open registration beginning January 7 and a goal of reaching full enrollment. Teachers are seeing positive results from continued training in the Heggerty phonics curriculum, and Occupational Therapy screenings were recently held for 4s–TK students. Fundraising efforts have been highly successful, raising $39,500 as part of TTWS’s 70th‑anniversary celebration.

Cornwell Center December 2025 Update


Cornwell Center membership revenue remains strong, with several categories exceeding projections. Endowment funds are helping cover the year‑end deficit while supporting facility upgrades, including a renovated studio space and new fitness equipment. Leadership is also preparing for an upcoming insurance membership transition in 2026.
