A NOTE FROM BETSY
Though I wasn't with you in person last week, I'm still running on the fumes of joy from last Sunday's worship. And, I'm excited that this week is a continuation of joy for our community.

Now that our calendar for elders and deacons and committee membership aligns with our program year (June through May), this Sunday will mark the transition for the change in leadership positions. Our outgoing elders and deacons will be recognized for their faithful (and extended) service, and our incoming elders and deacons will be ordained and installed. We have officers being ordained and installed at both 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. worship so you'll be able to participate regardless of what time you attend. We will celebrate the extraordinary year we've had together with an all-church brunch (of breakfast tacos) at 10:00 a.m. It looks like the heat will break and we'll be able to gather in the courtyard, but if that changes, we'll gather in Quillin Hall.

This Sunday is also Shirley Latham's last Sunday with us as interim organist. At 10:00 a.m., there will be a place where you can write her a note of gratitude and well wishes as she prepares to move to Jefferson, TX.

The sanctuary will include an installation that recognizes the members of our leadership teams and our committees so you can see the people who have given of their time and talent this past year. I hope you'll plan to attend and join in the celebration as we look back at the past year and anticipate the year ahead.

With great anticipation,
Betsy

We'll meet at church at 8:30 am to carpool over, and lunch afterward is optional.

We can take up to 20. Please let Linda Hale Buchanan know if you will participate!
THIS WEEKEND: WORSHIP
Worship at 9:00 a.m. outdoors or 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary.

In preparation for Sunday, you may wish to read Hebrews 12:1-3.

We will install new deacons and elders at both services, and celebrate our outgoing leadership from the past program year.
THIS WEEKEND: CONNECT
All are invited to join us at 10:00 a.m. for breakfast tacos in the courtyard.

JOIN NORTHRIDGE WITHOUT BORDERS ON JUNE 11

Last month, this community helped Mr. Jose Pineda, a recent Honduran refugee, move into his new apartment in Vickery Meadow. Within the last six months, we have also helped to settle the Kahn family and Mr. Hakimi into their new lives in the same area. In addition to praying for these families, we invite you to take part in our next refugee move-in, which will take place June 11. Contact MerriLee Anderson or Clare Stein for more. Thanks!
Join IRC Youth & Northridge Youth
