LOAVES & FISHES
Loaves & Fishes is moving indoors at the Galilee center! Volunteers from St. John’s will be helping hungry families get the food they need on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, starting in August. Anyone interested in helping please contact Louise Palmer.
LEADERSHIP NEEDED FOR HOMELESS MINISTRY
For many years, St. John’s participated in the Room in the Inn program to provide seasonal meals and housing to our homeless neighbors. And while we thought the pandemic brought an end to church-based housing, it now seems that the Room in the Inn program is returning to a church-based model. Unfortunately, we do not have any leaders willing to coordinate the Room in the Inn program at St. John’s, making it impossible for us to resume our participation. So, if you are interested in leading the Room in the Inn program, or if you are interested in exploring other ways we can serve our homeless neighbors, please contact Thomas Walker (the chair of the Outreach Committee) or Matt Williams (on the church staff) very soon. Thank you!
WEDNESDAY NIGHT BOOK CLUB
The Wednesday Night Book Club is a casual and friendly group open to anyone. We read and discuss books from a variety of genres, and we would love for YOU to join us in the conversations. We meet from 6:00-7:00pm, usually on the 4th Wednesday of the month here at the church.

The upcoming books we will be discussing are:
July 28 – The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich
August 25 – The Library Book by Susan Orlean
