Church News

A New Year Brings Exciting Things

As our church prepares to welcome our new Senior Pastor, Rev. Josh Roberts, along with two other new staff members, we are making plans to set the stage for successful ministry together. The United Methodist Church On-Boarding process provides a healthy, intentional transition in pastoral leadership, creating space for thoughtful conversation, prayerful reflection, and shared vision as we look toward the future.

On January 13th, our staff will spend most of the day together, guided by Rev. Mike Selleck, a certified On-Boarding facilitator within the United Methodist Church. That evening, both our outgoing (2025) and incoming (2026) Church Council and Committee Members will gather for an On-Boarding dinner from 5:30–9:00 pm. This time together will include a structured discussion around the hopes, concerns, and priorities of our congregation. Rev. Roberts will not be present during the initial conversation, allowing for honest and anonymous feedback. He will join the group later in the evening for dialogue, questions, and shared understanding.

On Saturday, January 24th, from 9-11am, our 2026 Church Council & Committee Members will have a time of Retreat, a wonderful way to finish the first month of a new year. Please be in prayer for all of our staff, church council, and committee members as we share one goal - to Make Disciples of Jesus Christ, while Cultivating Community by Uniting in Purpose & Serving in Love.

Music Ministry

Choir Rehearsals Begin Tonight!

All are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Isle of Hope Choir rehearses each Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room to prepare music to share in worship, community events, and concerts throughout the year.

One & Done Choir - February 1st!

One and Done Choir is a joyful, low-commitment way to build community through song. On selected Sundays, congregants of all ages and musical backgrounds are invited to gather at 8:30am to learn a simple, fun anthem together—and then share that music in worship the very same morning.

No long-term rehearsals or experience required—just a willingness to show up, sing alongside others, and be part of something meaningful. One and Done Choir creates space for connection, laughter, and shared purpose, reminding us that community can be formed quickly when voices come together in harmony.

Student & Children's Ministry

Welcome Back!

We’re excited to kick things back into gear! IGNITE Student Ministries, God Squad, and Confirmation will all resume on January 11th. We can’t wait to jump back into faith, fellowship, and fun together—mark your calendars and join us!
