Welcome, Dr. Danielle Pilgrim
It is our pleasure to once again welcome Dr. Danielle Pilgrim as she joins us in both worship services this Sunday. Dr. Pilgrim is the Lead Community Organizer and Executive Director of JUST (Justice Unites Savannah Together). The Mission of JUST is to empower faith communities to pursue justice together by responding to area problems and advocating for equitable policies and initiatives in Savannah-Chatham County.
During the JUST Nehemiah Action event on May 5, 2025, Chatham County Commissioner Bobby Lockett agreed to establish a Task Force, an entity comprised of key stakeholders and a facilitating partner, charged with creating sustainable systems and funding streams to grow and retain a mental health workforce that meets the needs of a growing population. We look forward to hearing more about this powerful initiative.
Welcome, Dr. Pilgrim!

Goodwill Donation Opportunity
We will be hosting a Goodwill truck on May 14th and 15th. Just simply bring items you'd like to donate to the office parking lot between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on next Wednesday & Thursday, load them on the truck, and Goodwill will take care of the rest! In return, Goodwill will provide us with shopping vouchers to pass along to those we serve in our community.

Wesley Community Center Food Pantry
During the summer months, many children in our community will not have access to nutritious meals. Your donations to the Wesley Community Center Food Pantry will provide healthy options for them. At this time, they need rice, grits, cereal, canned meats, peanut butter, and fruit. Please, no large cans or large bags of rice or grits.

Serving Opportunity
Please make plans to join us at Second Harvest Food Bank on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We will be helping to plate 5000 food trays for the Kids Cafe Summer Feeding Program. This is a great activity for mature middle school students and older. Watch for further details and contact Julie Vann at jvann@iohumc.com with questions.

Let's Give our Summer Staff an Isle of Hope Welcome!
Let's show our summer staff - Nora Thomas, Grant Baxer, & Kourtney Funderburk - our famous Isle of Hope UMC welcome! Have them over to share a meal with your family. Invite them to go on a walk or out to lunch.
And let's shower them with gift cards to make their summer just a bit easier! Just pick a slot, buy the gift card(s), and bring them by the church office where we will add them to a welcome gift basket.
And if you don't have much free time, simply choose the last option and go to our website to make a contribution - choose the Youth Program Fund and write "summer staff" in the Memo line.
Let us know how YOU can welcome them by clicking the button below:
