A number of businesses have already been featured, including:
Women Owned is an initiative to enable consumers and buyers to identify products created and services provided by Women Owned businesses. When you see the logo, you know that the company is owned and operated by a woman or women, as certified by WBENC or WEConnect International.

Cosmeticos Laita - Costa Rica

Laura Arce from Cosm├ęticos Laita, a Costa Rican natural cosmetics company founded in 2003, met the local Marriott International procurement team at the 2015 WEConnect International Business Roundtable. Marriott International, a WEConnect International corporate member, was revamping their spa menus and was looking for natural cosmetics suppliers. Laura was given the challenge of developing a new product line to suit their spa treatment needs and another one for retail. Laita started the research and development process, met with Marriott International for testing, feedback, formula adjustments and packaging options, and finally got the new line approved for all of their spas.

Granja Huevo de Oro - Costa Rica

Granja Huevo de Oro is a Costa Rican company founded 11 years ago by Karol Flores.  It produces, markets, and distributes organic, natural, and cage-, hormone-, antibiotic-, vitamin-free eggs. Although farm production was increasing, Karol had been having trouble placing the product in large hotel chains. In 2016, she decided to get certified with WEConnect International and, as she says, "WEConnect International marked a before-and-after for Granja Huevo de Oro. Getting certified as a women-owned business and the connections made through WEConnect International opened doors we had been knocking on for a long time." 


Iglo Architects - Turkey

WEConnect International certified women's business enterprise Iglo Architects was founded in Istanbul in 2001 by two architects, with  as its current managing partner.  
"It is difficult for an architect to run a company. They don't teach how to run a company at the faculty of architecture," says Esen. "An architect literally has no idea about taxes, financial statements, law, hr, pr...basically knows nothing about management unless they have a corporate background where they can learn these things."
