State of the City Address; Caviar and Kudos
Williston Herald - The City of Williston is "Going in the right direction," and at Thursday's State of the City address, city leaders say the best is yet to come.  "That's what you're going to hear about today," Commission President Howard Klug told the assembled crowd. "We're excited to share how the City of Williston is preparing for the future."  Klug, along with Williston City Commissioners Brad Bekkedahl, Tate Cymbaluk, Deanette Piesik and City Administrator David Tuan, shared the progress the city has made and the direction it is going during the address, given Thursday, May 9 at the Grand Williston Hotel.   Read More

KXMD - Williston is on the cusp of an exciting summer and fall - and is poised to continue growing with the oil industry. That was the message of Mayor Howard Klug as he delivered the State of The City address today.  The mayor told the audience the new airport - known as XWA - will be a cornerstone of the region's continued growth.  City Administrator David Tuan the city intends to use XWA as a catalyst to make further improvements in Williston.    Read More
Public Safety discussed at State of City Address

KUMV-TV - At the State of the City Address Commission Tate Cymbaluk talked about public safety. "We're going to make sure this town is safe for each and every one of you. We have the best staff, we have resources outside of our own city Police Department. That extends all the way to the FBI. We'll take care of what's going on," he said. A new 911 center, and full department consisting only of dispatchers is in the works to keep up with demand. Read More

New Mexico Officials visit Williston during Economic Development Week

KUMV-TV - City of Williston officials hosted representatives from Eddy County, New Mexico, today at the State of the City address. Eddy County is home to the Permian Basin where oil production is rising rapidly and so is the influx of people. Despite the boom in job opportunities, Eddy County is now facing the same set of challenges that plagued Williston and Williams County ten years ago. Read More

KUMV-TV - It's Economic Development Week, and one business in Williston is proving that the demand for buying and selling in town is higher than ever. While utilizing Williston Economic Development's services, the owner of Meg-a-Latte, Meg Wold, says she's been able to expand and offer more to the growing population.  The coffee shop has been serving customers for seven years, and now has three locations. Wold utilized the interest buy-back program the economic development office offers when expanding to the Harvest Hills Site.  Read More
1 Million Cups features Deja Brew, Elite Designz

The owners of Deja Brew Coffee, Jody Cymbaluk and Addison Cymbaluk as well as the co-owner of Elite Designz, Mary Berg, were the featured presenters at 1 Million Cups May 8. The organization is seeking the owners of startups (fewer than 5 years old) to speak at its June, July and August meetings. Call 701-577-8110 for more details.

Williston Economic Development celebrated Economic Development Week at 1 Million Cups May 8. The group typically meets the first Wednesday of every month from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Teton Lounge on the Williston State College campus. The next meeting is June 5.
WED sponsors API Meeting, Business After Hours in Honor of Economic Development Week
Williston Economic Development sponsored the API and Business After Hours meetings this week in honor of Economic Development Week. The week is celebrated to promote the achievements and purpose of economic development in Williston.
Williston Rural, City Fire Departments named Band Day Marshals

News Release - The Williston Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) and Band Day Committee are pleased to announce the Williston Rural Fire Department and City Fire Department as the Band Day 2019 Parade Marshals. These individuals will be featured in the annual parade on Saturday, May 11 in Williston. "The Band Day committee selected the Volunteer Rural Fire and City Fire Departments because of service and sacrifice. Without their years of dedication, Williston wouldn't be where it is now," commented Mayor Howard Klug. Read More
