THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST
PART 3

As we come to the end of the Revelation, we see Jesus in several ways. We see him in chapter 14:14-20 as the Son of Man sitting on a cloud, wearing a golden crown, and holding a sharp sickle [for harvest] in His hand. He is told to thrust forth His sickle to gather in the harvest and does this. Souls are harvested from the earth.
In chapter 19:1-10 we see the harvested souls of the righteous ones gathered for the marriage supper of the Lamb. However, the Lamb now descends from an open heaven to conquer the remaining nations on the earth.
He comes on a white horse to judge and to make war. He is called Faithful and True, and has a name written that only He knows. However, on His vesture and on His thigh is written a name: King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. All the armies of the earth and the beast come against him.
He took the beast and the false prophet and cast them into the lake of fire, and their armies are slain by the word [sword] of his mouth. Satan is then cast into the bottomless pit [abyss] for a thousand years. The righteous martyrs of the tribulation rule and reign with Him for that thousand-year period.
This is our mighty and righteous Lord and Savior, the Lamb of God, and Lion of Judah.
At the end of the thousand years, Satan shall be loosed from the abyss for a season to make war. He is then defeated and cast into the lake of fire forever.
In chapter 21:10, the Lamb’s bride is taken to the New Jerusalem and a new [restored] earth and heaven replace the old, and God dwells with [among] His people forever.

PROPITIATION

I am not fond of twenty-dollar words. Yes, I know it means one might be smarter to use them, but for the average person it is difficult to understand especially when the word is used in scripture. I want to speak of the word “propitiation.”
This word is used three times in the New Testament. In Romans 3:25 it says, “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.”
In 1 John 2:2 it says, “And he [Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
Then in 1 John 4:10 it says, “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
So just what does “propitiation” mean? Strong’s Concordance#G2434 defines it as “atonement, an expiator [making amends for wrongdoing]. But it goes beyond just atoning for our sins. It means to be clear of any wrath from God for our sin.
God, the Father hates sin, and the wrath of God is poured out upon the sinner [look at the great tribulation]. When Jesus became sin for us, the wrath of God was placed on him. He took the wrath we deserved so we do not have to. Now, the Holy Spirit is grieved when we sin, but the wrath of God does not fall on us. We have the assurance that when we repent, we are back in right standing.
Jesus paid the price in full for all sin, and the wrath. He was the substitute for us. Now, if that isn’t love we do not know love at all. We should be so thankful for this “propitiation” and never take it lightly! No fear! No wrath!

Prophetic Word
You would say, Lord, why have you shut this door? Why are things happening in this way, haven’t I served you with all my heart?
And I would say to you my child, I am shutting this door for they are like old wineskins. I am preparing you for something much greater than you have done before, and your faith is now being stretched. By letting go of the old you are making room for the new. Do not look at this as a time of discipline, for it is not discipline. It is a time of advancement. Your marching orders are being changed. So, do not hesitate to wait before me and see what I am about to do in and through your life. You have been found faithful my child, and I am elevating you into something that only you can do. Why would you want to hold on to the old comfortable places when I have something new and better? So, do not weep at this season, for you are about to see things change. There are many things that will happen rapidly. Your advancement is one of them. For I am going before you to smooth out the rough places. The new path has not been trodden like the old. There will be some hard times, but in those hard times you will find that I am with you. Do not lose sight of the larger plan that I have for you. You have limited me, and now it is time to advance. So, take my hand and let me lead you into fresh green pastures that will yield more fruit than you have ever dreamed of, saith the Lord.

You can be sure that Moses DID indeed tell the spies to SIZE up the REWARDS of the land; As he was telling them to go forward and spy it out in Numbers 13. However, he did NOT tell any one of them to measure THEMSELVES or their own ABILITIES. So with that in mind it just might be a good time for YOU to STOP analyzing your OWN abilities; And totally concentrate on God’s promises and ALL that He IS…For God and God alone is Holy, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent and His CAPABILITIES are unending. Therefore you can know that regardless of how bad those tough situations around you may look at the moment; God can and He will turn everything around in your favor and yes…Even there in your midnight hour. The only thing you must do is; Step back, put everything in God’s almighty hands…And trust Him through it all.
