We pray that this newsletter and its contents that we share will help you on your daily journey with Christ, causing you to grow in the ways of the Lord.

The giftings of the fivefold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher) should have one purpose, and that is the teaching and equipping of the saints until we come into unity.

This is why we teach so that you can grow stronger in your faith until unity comes in the body of Christ. Take what you have learned and share it with others so that we can further the kingdom for Jesus Christ.

FAITH AND PATIENCE

In Hebrews chapter ten Paul was writing about his imprisonment and how he had been a gazing stock with reproaches and afflictions caused by some of the companions the Hebrews had associated with. In verse 34 he wrote, “For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring [permanent] substance.”

They had lost their property because they made a stand with Paul. They knew there was a price to pay to follow Jesus. In verse 35 Paul continued, “Cast not away therefore your confidence [boldness], which hath great recompence [promise] of reward.”

He was telling them to not stop pursuing the Christian way, but to be bold in their witness because they would be rewarded. Then in verse 36 Paul teaches them how that promise will come. He said, “For ye have need of patience, [persistence] that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”

The promises of God do not come automatically. We walk by faith, trusting that God will bring them to pass. Without faith it is impossible to please God [Hebrews 11:6] but it also takes patience to wait for the promise to come to pass. Faith and patience work together. You may have great faith but little patience. You might also be a very patient person but are weak in faith. The two working together bring the promises of God, but it will also be in His timing. Never give up while you wait for the promise to manifest. Keep your faith kindled by staying in the Word of God, and then resolve yourself to be patient until the promise comes.

Chapter eleven continues with the subject of faith and patience. It mentions the heroes of faith, including Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses’ parents, Moses, Joshua, Rahab and many other heroes of the faith including David, Samson, Samuel, and Gideon. Hebrews 11:39-40 says, “And these all, [the heroes of faith] having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise [speaking of Jesus, the Messiah].

They longed for Messiah to come, but they never saw him in their lifetime. These heroes of faith let us learn endurance. Hebrews 12:1 speaks of those heroes. It says, “Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, [these heroes of faith] let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.”

Paul encouraged the Hebrews to run their race and not give up. That is a word also for us. We must run the race, looking unto the author and finisher of the race, Jesus Christ and not give up whether we receive the promise in our lifetime or not.

PROPHETIC WORDS AND EXHORTATIONS

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

It is vitally important that you eat food every day to stay alive and be healthy. It is also vitally imporftant that you feed your spirit by reading the word of God daily. If you feel dry spiritually, or are just disinterested, then perhaps your spirit is starving for food. Make it a habit to get up a little earlier every day and read the Word of God. You will find it will make a big difference in your life. By the way, Satan will bring many distractions to keep you from doing this. Be determined to feed your spirit daily.

Wednesday Thought For Today

We all have opinions. We think that our way is right. Let us consider: is your opinion the same as God’s?

It is always correct to consider God’s opinion over our own. This could be a new concept, that God’s Word should always be above our own. That is one reason I am always teaching to read your Bible. If His Word is deep in your heart, you will be more likely to choose His way and not your own. Today is the day to begin reading God’s Word daily. He will not disappoint you.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. I have sworn and confirmed That I will keep Your righteous judgments.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭105‬-‭106‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

_____________

One of the hardest decisions you may have to make along life’s highway is; Knowing when to put your hands up in total surrender, throw in the towel, quit it all and walk away OR...Do you ever so bravely bite your tongue, swallow your pride, pray, accept things the way they are, try a little harder and move on with life?

Solidify what needs to be solid and let God have all the "loose ends" of what is keeping you in "limbo", especially your relationship with Him. Remember, He can't tolerate "lukewarmness" or lack of surrender of your all, to Him. Walking with Him and holding on to some of your willful, sinful, worldly ways, is more dangerous than walking a tight rope without a "safety net". You can't use God as a "safety net" to keep sinning. Yes, He loves you but He will not "share" you with the world. God desires a "oneness" with you that comes through surrender or obedience. He will not share you with other "gods" nor will He tolerate idolatry. We build our own "shrines" or "idols" with anything we put before Him. "Thou will have no other gods before Me." The state of lukewarmness is being neither "hot" or "cold" in our relationship with Him. The anolgy of how He feels about that, is compared to it creating an intolerable "taste" and Him spewing the lukewarmness out of His mouth. Do you really want to create this situation, by your lack of total commitment to God? Do you really want to walk in a state of "lukewarmness", which He refuses to accept?

Just for Us! HCC

I look at the Manger before me.

I remember The Son that God gave.

His Son and just for us,

Who was born, just for us,

and as we celebrate,

His Birthday this day these

humble beginnings Of Jesus’s life

tells you what life’s all about.

The simple, the pure, abounding with love,

Oh, what a Father, what a Father above.

And then to watch your Son be crucified,

All for us, all for us too.

Do we realize what this Love is

what he gave for me and you?

Look up and know, know his love,

And worship this, Savior
