Peace Be Still.jpg

We pray that this newsletter and its contents that we share will help you on your daily journey with Christ, causing you to grow in the ways of the Lord.

The giftings of the fivefold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher) should have one purpose, and that is the teaching and equipping of the saints until we come into unity. This is why we teach so that you can grow stronger in your faith until unity comes in the body of Christ.

Take what you have learned and share it with others so that we can further the kingdom for Jesus Christ!

"...God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

THE LIFE OF MOSES – PART 1

_____________

The story of Moses’ life begins in the first two chapters of Exodus. Just as God told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5 that his destiny was written in the books of heaven before he was ever born, so also was Moses’ destiny written before conception.

The Hebrews were in bondage as slaves in Egypt. They had at this time been in Egypt about 350 years. Their population had grown to somewhere between two to four million. Pharoah feared that they might revolt, so he decided to decrease their ability for population growth. He determined that the best way to do this would be to kill every Hebrew male as they were born. That would eliminate a whole generation of new “Daddys.”

He ordered the Hebrew midwives to cast every newborn male into the Nile River. This could also be seen as a human sacrifice to their highly revered crocodile god of Egypt. The midwives would not do it, so the male child population grew. Pharaoh rebuked them, but they defended their actions [Exodus 1:18-20].  God rewarded the midwives that complied by building them their own houses [households].

This background leads us into Exodus 2 which details Moses’ birth and his preparation for the work ahead of him, executing God’s plans as we shall see tomorrow.

OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH

______________

Again, as I was praying concerning Hurricane Milton, the Lord took me to Psalm 46. Let’s see what we can learn from a few verses found in this psalm.

Verse 1: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

The word God is Elohim, which is the supreme God, the trinity. The word refuge means shelter, hope, and trust. Strength means security, power, majesty, and of course means He is our strength. Present is a now word, not later; it means to appear, acquire. Help means he is there to help us. The Holy Spirit is our helper. Trouble means adversity, affliction, distress, tribulation. Taking this verse in context, we can trust that God is our shelter NOW and is our strength when we need him. His strength is made perfect in our weakness [2 Corinthians 12:9]. He is our shelter as Psalm 91 has taught us in the past, but we must dwell in him to be protected.

Verse 2-3: “Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.”

This verse lets us know that we are not to fear when earthquakes come. We aren’t to fear when volcanoes erupt. We aren’t to fear when hurricanes come. We are to trust God will be with us no matter what comes at us!

Verse 5: “God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.”

Jesus dwells in us. He is our high tower that keeps us safe. Put your name in that verse and speak it over yourself. It brings peace to know that God will be our defense NOW.

Verse 10: “Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

We must get quiet when chaos is all around us. God wants us to know that He has an answer in his word for every situation. If we do not get quiet and listen to his voice, we will miss it. He will not yell at us. He comes, defends us, and because of this, He will be given all the praise and glory throughout eternity.

Trust God that when he gives a promise such as this Psalm 46 that He is with us as our refuge and strength no matter what the situation might be. He is Lord!

Someone needs to hear this today!

HELEN SANDERS

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

7-30-2024

As I contemplated what God wanted you to hear today, I heard this, "Many of you have been tempted to quit. Yes, the battles have been hard, and yes, the road has often been rough, but this is not the time to quit. If you could see into the spirit realm you would see that you are just about at the victory line. So, take a deep breath and resolve that you will not quit this race."

What an encouraging word! We often want to throw in the towel just to find out victory was in sight. I encourage you to take this word from the Lord and speak it over yourself today.

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

We’ve heard it said, “When one door closes, another door will open”. However, some folks get so engrossed in looking regretfully at the door that God allowed to close; Until it caused them NOT to see the new “God Door” that was opening up right before their very eyes. I wonder how many have looked back so intently at something or someone that’s long gone from their lives...Even knowing in their hearts that it was God who allowed that door to close for their own good? If you can relate to that then maybe it’s time to cry out to God asking Him for better judgement; So that you’ll desire to see and to walk into what He wants for you. After all, it’s only then you can be assured that in God’s timing the right door will open for you. Yes, it’s only the “God Door” that will take you into the right season that you’re now desiring to walk into. Just don’t ever forget that God knows what’s best for you; And He opens doors and He closes doors with you His child in mind. So, sit back and trust Him...And at the right time your “God Door” will open to you.

Wednesday Thought For Today

Do you have aught against your friend or acquaintance, anyone? Are you holding a grudge? Do you refuse to look at that person when you see them because you are “put out” with them? Do you feel like you were slighted in some way by your friend?

God spoke to me in church and said this: “Look around you, these are your brothers and sisters. These are the people you will be spending eternity with in heaven. My grace and mercy is for all. This is the time and hour to make amends to one another. Time is fleeting.”

Yes,this morning He was talking about relationships with our brothers and sisters in the church. But really this applies everywhere in our lives. It is not alright with God if we do not make amends with each other. We have no guarantee of tomorrow. So hasten to reconcile with one another.

“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬
