Meet the June Facilitators

Lauren Cikara (she/her) is the VP of School Mental Health at Active Minds, a leading nonprofit that supports youth and young adults to mobilize around mental health in a way that builds a mental health movement that forever changes how mental health is valued and prioritized in society. Lauren is a strong advocate for ensuring BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth and young adults have seats at the table to help ensure policies, resources, and programs center their experiences and that their voices are leading this opportunity for collective change and action around mental health. Lauren's background is in student leadership, health education, policy and advocacy, and equity and inclusion.

Te Jay McGrath brings many years of professional and lived experience to the Youth MOVE team. Not only has he directly served and supported many types of young adults, especially those experiencing homelessness, but he has also worked on policy changes when it comes to LGBTQ+ initiatives, anti-bullying efforts, and public health inequities. Te Jay has been performing all around southern California as his drag persona, Tia Wanna, for over 9 years. Originally from Hawaii, Te Jay is a Korean American who now resides in Los Angeles where he has called home for over a decade.
