QUESTIONS THINKING PEOPLE ASK
We all have questions… But what about those difficult questions which challenge our faith and leave us searching? Is the earth really over a billion years old? How can God allow good people to suffer? What about religious wars, does God approve? And the Bible, did God command violence and genocide?

We all wrestle with these questions. Both non-believers and people who are deeply committed to their faith struggle to answer and re-answer these perplexing questions. Join us for this series of messages as we will look for answers to the tough questions thinking people ask.

GOSPEL OF MARK BIBLE STUDY STARTS THIS SUNDAY!
When: Starts Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 9:15am
Where: The Upper Room, 2nd floor of Education Building

The new Adult Connections series, The Gospel of Mark, as presented by renowned pastor and author, Francis Chan, starts this Sunday! Francis Chan is a prolific author and energetic speaker who frequently talks about "what the Bible is really saying" as we pursue God's vision for us. Pastor Chan will be sharing his message via 10-15 minute video clips from historic Israel , which we’ll follow with a discussion around Mark’s Gospel lessons highlighted that day. Our Advent Season attendees all found this combination of video and discussion to be very engaging and the view into the historic sites of the Holy Lands is fascinating.

We will be meeting on the second floor of the education building in the Upper Room (“formerly known as Chapel”). Parents are especially encouraged to attend as our youth will also be studying The Gospel of Mark in the coming months. Please JOIN US!  We all have such great things to share in these gatherings! This is a multi-week program. Come to one, come to all; join us any Sunday you can. There is no required reading or attendance.

THE GOSPEL OF MARK
The Gospel of Mark chronicles Jesus’s journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. Along the way, the Messiah gathers a ragged band of disciples. As crowds grow and dwindle on the road to Jerusalem, only a few stick by the Suffering Savior on the road of discipleship. In this 11-part series on the Gospel of Mark, author and speaker Francis Chan invites us to walk with him along the ancient ways of the Master. Tracing the steps of Jesus and the Twelve through Israel, Francis explores the major themes of the Gospel of Mark, and asks: Are we willing to take this journey to embrace discipleship?

How to be God’s Man… This world esteems men of power, wealth, and success. Masculinity is defined by the strength of a man's body, mind, and investment portfolio. But what is God’s concept of masculinity? What portrait does the Bible paint of manhood? In this 5-part course, Todd Wagner, Senior Pastor of Watermark Community Church in Dallas, Texas, walks through five facets of biblical manhood, giving powerful imperatives on how to be God’s man. Please join us!
