Active participants wanted for discussions about civil rights, discrimination, and racism. We will be using Strength to Love by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. to drive productive and meaningful conversations and actions so desperately needed in our chaotic and divisive times. Written by the preeminent leader of the civil rights movement, Strength to Love will provide sound guidance based upon Christian principles. Because no institution (including organized religion) or person is exempt from examination in this historical set of sermons, Strength to Love will challenge everyone, regardless of background or politics. Mark Evangelista will lead this study, please contact him below to get signed up for these important discussions.

Prayer 102 is prayer taken to the next level, to take charge over your life and reclaim the world by prayers! In this class we get into deeper study of  why and what is prayer, as well as each week actual praying practices according to the model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13. Based on the "Praying to Change Your Life" book by Pastor Suzette Caldwell, this class will embolden your readiness and willingness to pray with effectiveness over any topic on earth. This year, the Wednesday morning Bible study (meeting weekly on Zoom) will do an in depth look at the Letter to the Hebrews. Whereas Paul saw himself primarily as an apostle to the gentiles, the unknown author of this letter preaches the gospel to believers who have come to Christ out of the context of Judaism. Join us as we explore how the Israelite tradition informs our understanding of who Jesus is and what He is calling His followers into. All ladies are invited to join in this new Bible study exploring “Be the Bridge; Pursuing God’s Heart for Racial Reconciliation”  by Latasha Morrison. In an era where we seem to be increasingly divided along racial lines, many are hesitant to step into the gap, fearful of saying or doing the wrong thing. At times the silence, particularly within the church, seems deafening. Join us to learn more! This will be a zoom study until it is safe to meet in person. Each week we will read a chapter and answer the reflective questions at the end of each chapter. This is flexible, attend as you are able each week, but please let Kimm know so she can send you the zoom invite. You do not need to let Kimm know when you can’t attend.
