NEW SERMON SERIES FAITH & MONEY STARTS SUNDAY!
Why are we here? Where do we place our trust? What are we afraid of in this life? Sometimes it seems that we live each day trusting more in what we have than we trust in God, and we fear most what we need tomorrow. God has a purpose for us, our money and the things we fear. Join us for the next two Sundays as we explore Faith & Money.

LEADERSHIP UPDATE!
In early November, John Sedunov addressed the congregation regarding Children's Ministry at Wayne Church. The following is his message:
St. Augustine wrote: “The higher your structure is to be, the deeper must be its foundation.” When we think about our children, this excerpt resonates in two ways.
First, when we envision the future of our children, we hope that they will be pillars of faith. This faith needs a strong foundation if it is to grow. We are all here to help our children build that foundation of faith. They can’t do it themselves, and they look to all of us for guidance.
Second, when we envision the future of our church, we hope that it will continue on long beyond our years and be a beacon of faith and hope for our community at large. The only way our structure continues to grow taller, in the words of St. Augustine, is with a foundation that continues to grow stronger and deeper. The foundation of our church family grows stronger when the faith of the youngest among us is nurtured by all of us.
With this idea in mind, the leadership council invites the entire congregation to be a part of our children’s faith foundation. One way, among many, that you can do this is through volunteering to be a part of children’s church, which is one of our new children’s ministry activities. This service happens every Sunday during the second half of our main service. At children’s church, the kids learn about our faith traditions, sing new songs, and receive a message that is based on the same Scripture that we hear about in this service. Christine welcomes participation from every child in the room and invites questions about any topic. This service, without a doubt, is strengthening the faith foundations of our children and our church.
We encourage everyone here to volunteer just one Sunday – that’s just one half of a worship service – to help with Children’s church. In so doing, you can share your faith and any other gift you have with our youth. Developing our children’s faith foundation is an important responsibility that we all bear, and we hope you’ll consider this invitation seriously.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any of our leadership team or with Christine to further discuss all the new developments in our children’s ministry, and the ways you can be a part of it.

RUMMAGE SALE NEXT WEEK!
Sale hours: Friday, November 22, 8:30-1 & Saturday, November 23, 9-12
We begin accepting donations after 12noon this Sunday!
It’s Rummage Sale time again! So soon you say? Not a problem! The Rummage Sale team is gearing up so you can get organized, lighten your load, and spread some Christmas cheer to others before 2019 comes to a close. We’re asking for really nice items that can be used as gifts or that would help a needy family through the holidays. Cookware, children's books, packaged toys, decorations, linens, clothes, handbags, jewelry, winter outerwear, collectibles, small furniture and small electronics. Please have it all clean and in working order. As always, thank you for supporting this ministry!!
SPECIAL EBAY SALESPERSON NEEDED FOR RUMMAGE!
A few times each year a generous donor gives us something small and lightweight but of high monetary value, such as costly jewelry or a camera lens.   Good stewardship dictates that we sell these items away from Rummage to obtain fair value.   We could sell locally, but we can get much better prices if we market to a national audience via eBay or similar.   Therefore, we are looking for someone who has time and expertise (or is willing to obtain that expertise) to sell items like this on eBay for the church.   This effort would translate to, most likely, less than 10 hrs. per year; it all depends on what we receive.   All the work can be done from home on your own time.   Please consider helping Wayne Church raise significant funds for our local ministries by volunteering for this fun and independent task.   To do so, contact the church office or Bill or Virginia Gardiner.   THANK YOU!!
STUDIES AND CLASSES
MEN'S BREAKFAST - BOOK OF EPHESIANS
When: 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 6:15am
Date: November 21
Where: The Well
God knew before the world began that his people would face hardship, so he gave us his Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that turns away from the message of Jesus Christ. In 9 sessions, we will dig into the text of Ephesians verse-by-verse and be challenged to live out the Gospel. If the people around us are going to hear the Gospel, it's going to be from our lips.
BOOK OF JAMES STUDY
When: Sundays @ 9:15am
Where: The Upper Room (#A204, Floor 2)
This is a video-based study, written and shared by the incredible Francis Chan. Come to one, come to all.   You won’t be disappointed, and you will always be welcome! True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The Book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who've faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God.
HISTORY OF THE BIBLE
When: Sundays @ 9:15am
Where: Counters Room (#E101, Floor 1R)
Have you ever wondered how the Bible came to be? Join us as we study the story of the world's most influential book. This class is led by Lowell Gustafson.
A STUDY OF THE APOCRYPHA
When: Wednesdays @ 9:15-11:15am
Where: Upper Room (#A204, Floor 2)
All are welcome to the Wednesday morning Bible Study as we tackle the Apocrypha. What's the Apocrypha? It's a series of 15 books written during the time between the Old and New Testaments. This class is led by Katie McNabb.
LADIES EVENING BIBLE STUDY
When: Alternating Wednesdays @ 7pm
Dates: 11/20
Where: Kimm Ebersole’s home (check directory for address)
Please join us in this Bible study, written by the creators of “The War Room”. This study guides readers through examining how we determine and find our true identity in Christ. We will then watch the movie together as a group .
LADIES TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
When: Tuesdays @ 10:15
Where: Conference Room
PRAYER 101
When: Wednesdays @ 7pm
Where: Upper Room ( #A204, Floor 2)
After taking this class, expect to be a transformed person: comfortable, confident and bold in praying. Based on " Praying to Change Your Life" by Pastor Suzette Caldwell, this class will help you gain a greater understanding of why we pray and how to pray over any topic on earth and most importantly, to be effective in praying. This class will be led by Charles Caristan.
