CHRISTMAS LIGHT
One of the first signs of the Christmas season is the appearance of lights on trees, houses, and lit candles in windows.   Christmas lights are one of the best parts of the holiday season. These lights bring so much hope and excitement because they remind us that Jesus is the light of the world!    Join us this December as we rediscover what Christmas is all about – Jesus, God’s antidote for darkness in a fallen world -- Christmas Light!

DECEMBER'S LEADERSHIP MOMENT
Last Sunday, Juan de Leon from our Leadership Council, spoke about team ministry. The church is currently preparing the 2019 Ministry Team Directory. As of this week, we have received 148 commitment cards containing 611 commitments to the various teams. Thank you for your commitment to support Wayne Church’s mission to Love and Serve through Christ! At the last Council meeting we discussed the need for more volunteers for Children’s Ministry. The Safe Sanctuary compliance requires that two adults be present for any children activity or event. Childcare is provided for all church activities. There are four Ministry Teams that provide an opportunity to serve in this capacity. We only have 4 commitments for Team #5. Children’s Sunday School Shepherds, Grades K-5th -   For Team #6. Children’s Sunday School Preschool, Age 2.75 to PreK – we have 1. For Team #7 Children’s Sunday School Workshop Leader, Grades K-5th   – we have 7. For Team #27 Worship Childcare Team – we have 9. We are undersubscribed to Love and Serve our children through Christ. If you would like to serve on one or more of these teams, you can use one of the commitment cards in the pews or just place a piece of paper in the offering plate or call into the office. Remember the teams needing support are 5, 6, 7 and 27.

CHRISTMAS CHOSEN 300 TOY TRAIN!
Help bring joy to a child (ages 2 to 13 years old) in need by donating a toy this Christmas! The Toy Train is ready to receive gifts anytime, up to December 21st.   You can wrap and label the gift (include gender and age)   but do not have to.     Labels for marking will be on the Toy Train.
Although we need all age groups, please remember the 12-13 age group, as we ran a little short for them last year.   Suggested items for this group are gloves, scarfs, clothes, perfume/cologne, hair accessories, sport team (Eagles, Sixers, etc.) brand clothing or accessories, LEGOS, or Comic books. We are also looking for donations of wrapping paper and tape (can be placed in the Toy Train).   We will be distributing these gifts on December 22 as we serve the Chosen 300 ministry in Pottstown! Donations are being collected in the toy train in the church office lobby!
ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL RUMMAGE SALE!
The Rummage Elves report that the Christmas Rummage Sale went swimmingly, with lots of generously donated items becoming holiday gifts for many in the community! Net proceeds are projected to total $1600, and the elves were also able to collect several bags of nice books for Cradles to Crayons and warm clothing to distribute at our next Chosen 300 Dinner.   All leftovers went on to GreenDrop to find new homes and make more money for other charities.   Many thanks   to all who donated, set up, staffed the sale, packed up, and shopped at this Rummage Sale!!
5 th SUNDAY WORSHIP THROUGH SERVICE IS DECEMBER 30!
