NEW SERMON SERIES BEGINS SUNDAY, JANUARY 6!
QUESTIONS THINKING PEOPLE ASK
We all have questions… But what about those difficult questions which challenge our faith and leave us searching? Is the earth really over a billion years old? How can God allow good people to suffer? What about religious wars, does God approve? And the Bible, did God command violence and genocide?

We all wrestle with these questions. Both non-believers and people who are deeply committed to their faith struggle to answer and re-answer these perplexing questions. Join us for this series of messages as we will look for answers to the tough questions thinking people ask.

WAYNE CHURCH IN THE NEWS!
The angels announced ‘Good news of great Joy’ on that first Christmas so long ago. It seems good news is hard to come by today. But when we find it, like the angels we cannot keep it to ourselves. That was the case last Sunday when Channel 6ABC News showed up at church and asked for an interview before worship. They wanted to know what your Christmas Challenge was up to and how it would affect Chosen300 and other charitable organizations.

DECEMBER'S LEADERSHIP MOMENT
This month, Juan de Leon from our Leadership Council, spoke about team ministry. The church is currently preparing the 2019 Ministry Team Directory. As of this week, we have received 148 commitment cards containing 611 commitments to the various teams. Thank you for your commitment to support Wayne Church’s mission to Love and Serve through Christ! At the last Council meeting we discussed the need for more volunteers for Children’s Ministry. The Safe Sanctuary compliance requires that two adults be present for any children activity or event. Childcare is provided for all church activities. There are four Ministry Teams that provide an opportunity to serve in this capacity. We only have 4 commitments for Team #5. Children’s Sunday School Shepherds, Grades K-5th -   For Team #6. Children’s Sunday School Preschool, Age 2.75 to PreK – we have 1. For Team #7 Children’s Sunday School Workshop Leader, Grades K-5th   – we have 7. For Team #27 Worship Childcare Team – we have 9. We are undersubscribed to Love and Serve our children through Christ. If you would like to serve on one or more of these teams, you can use one of the commitment cards in the pews or just place a piece of paper in the offering plate or call into the office. Remember the teams needing support are 5, 6, 7 and 27.

How to be God’s Man… This world esteems men of power, wealth, and success. Masculinity is defined by the strength of a man's body, mind, and investment portfolio. But what is God’s concept of masculinity? What portrait does the Bible paint of manhood? In this 5-part course, Todd Wagner, Senior Pastor of Watermark Community Church in Dallas, Texas, walks through five facets of biblical manhood, giving powerful imperatives on how to be God’s man. Please join us!

Friday, February 1, 2019 @ 5:00-7:00PM | Radnor High School is thrilled to announce their fourth annual Empty Bowl fundraising event to help end hunger! The Radnor High School Art Club is once again coming to Wayne Church.  "Empty Bowls" is Amy Wildey’s Mission Movement at Radnor High School. RHS Art Club is again sponsoring “Empty Bowls”, a unique ministry to fight hunger. The bowls will be made by RHS students and available at the event. Participants from RHS and volunteers from Wayne Church and from the community will provide the soup. Partners like Panera & Spring Mill Bread Company will provide bread. All proceeds will benefit the Wayne Church Food Pantry. This event will be held in the Fellowship Hall (lower level). $10 will buy you a handmade bowl, dinner, and will help to fill another’s empty stomach!
