WELCOME PASTOR GREG & RACHELLE!
Effective July 1, Reverend Greg Impink will begin his ministry here at Wayne Church. Pastor Greg comes to us from Columbia, PA where he served as pastor for two churches simultaneously, Ironville and Newtown UMCs. Greg is originally from Latrobe in western PA. He attended college at Penn State University where he earned his BS in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering. Prior to attending seminary, Greg served as the Director of Missions at Hempfield UMC in Lancaster. He attended divinity school at Palmer Theological Seminary in St. Davids where he received his Master of Divinity in 2018. While at seminary, Greg also served as lead pastor at Limeville UMC in Gap, PA.
Greg will be coming to Wayne with his wife, Rachelle, who is a high school math teacher. Together they are excited to use their talents and gifts to support this congregation and further the ministry of Wayne Church. Although he is early in his career, Greg comes to us with a wealth of experience and spiritual gifts. Please keep Pastor Greg and Rachelle, as well as Pastor Tom and Kimm, in our prayers as they navigate these transitions over the next few months.

LADIES, HERE'S THE NEXT BOOK UP FOR DISCUSSION!
We plan to gather in May to discuss the highly recommended The Sun Does Shine by Anthony Ray Hinton. Here's a brief description from Amazon: In 1985, Anthony Ray Hinton was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder in Alabama. Stunned, confused, and only twenty-nine years old, Hinton knew that it was a case of mistaken identity and believed that the truth would prove his innocence and ultimately set him free. But with no money and a different system of justice for a poor black man in the South, Hinton was sentenced to death by electrocution. He spent his first three years on Death Row at Holman State Prison in agonizing silence—full of despair and anger toward all those who had sent an innocent man to his death. But as Hinton realized and accepted his fate, he resolved not only to survive, but find a way to live on Death Row. For the next twenty-seven years he was a beacon—transforming not only his own spirit, but those of his fellow inmates, fifty-four of whom were executed mere feet from his cell. With the help of civil rights attorney and bestselling author of Just Mercy, Bryan Stevenson, Hinton won his release in 2015. With a foreword by Stevenson,The Sun Does Shine is an extraordinary testament to the power of hope sustained through the darkest times. Destined to be a classic memoir of wrongful imprisonment and freedom won, Hinton’s memoir tells his dramatic thirty-year journey and shows how you can take away a man’s freedom, but you can’t take away his imagination, humor, or joy. More details next month on our planned gathering.

WOMEN'S SPRING BIBLE STUDY

Dates: March 23, April 6, April 20, May 4, May 18 & June 1
"Unrevealed Until Its Season" by James C. Howell discusses the power of song to teach spiritual truths. "Hymns embed faith into the marrow of the soul," he writes. In Unrevealed Until Its Season, Howell takes us on a 40-day journey through well-loved hymns. A meaningful Lenten devotional guide for individuals and small groups, Unrevealed Until Its Season is also a valuable resource and perfect gift for musicians as they prepare for worship, and for ministers as they lead worship. Weekly themes include Praising God, Hymns About Jesus, Hymns of Forgiveness, Hymns of Vision, Hymns of Beauty, Hymns of Holy Week, and Hymns of Easter. Howell ponders phrases from old and new hymns, such as "Be Thou My Vision," "Hymn of Promise," "All Creatures of Our God and King," "For Everyone Born," "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing," "Lift High the Cross," and "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross." Join us while we unpack these amazing hymns! Questions or want to sign up, please email Cindy Bell via the button below.
LADIES' TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY ON ZOOM
