PARISH LIFE

Do you like spending a few hours with babies and toddlers?

Do you need service hours for school or other organization?

Are you looking for a side hustle to pick up some extra cash?

Then we need you!!!

We are looking for people to help in the church nursery when it reopens. And whether it is something you do as a volunteer, or to earn credit for EYC trips, or to make a little extra pocket change, this is a great way to help make Sunday mornings a bit easier for our young families. A Sunday nursery shift runs from 9:00am to 11:30am, and can be scheduled as often as is convenient for you. If you are interested, or want to know more, please contact Family Minister Matt Williams…he’d love to talk to you!

·      Are you a middle school, high school or college student?

·      Would an opportunity to serve (& get service hours) on Sunday mornings be interesting?

·      Do you enjoy working with children?

The Family Ministry program is building an intern team to help make all of the Sunday programs for children and families possible. Interns work one Sunday morning every 4 weeks, and help with everything from Children’s Chapel to Sunday School to special events. While these are unpaid internships, they offer a great opportunity to serve others while developing resume-enhancing skills and experience.

Interested? Contact Matt Williams to learn more!

THE WAY FORWARD FAST FACT:

In the first century, Jesus of Nazareth inspired a movement. A community of people whose lives were centered on Jesus Christ and committed to living the way of God's unconditional, unselfish, sacrificial, and redemptive love. As Episcopalians, we believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death and resurrection saved the world. We have a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God's love for every human being. Ordination and the offices of bishop, priest, and deacon are open to all without discrimination. Laypeople and clergy cooperate as leaders at all levels of our church. Leadership is a gift from God and can be expressed by all people in our church, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression. We believe that God loves us all - no exceptions.

Wednesday Night Book Club Returns September 27!

The Wednesday Night Book Club will resume our meetings on September 27. We invite everyone to join us to talk about our monthly selections, other books recommendations, and all things literary. We are an open, friendly group, so you are welcome to come anytime. Meetings are from 6:00-7:00pm in Room 204/5 at the church. We will discuss a classic, The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins, and select our upcoming reads. Be sure to bring your recommendations for the conversation. Hope to see you there!
