This Special Coffee Hour is being brought to you by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General-Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor.   “By way of background, our unit is located within the Division of Criminal Justice, and we host the Elder Protection Task Force. Our Elder Protection Task Force is comprised of several state agencies including: The office of long-term care Ombudsman, Adult Protective Services, Department of Health, Division of Consumer Affairs, Office of the Public guardian and several other state and county agencies. Our goal is to combine our resources to help protect older New Jersey residents.”

 

A light lunch will be provided, and any contribution you are able to offer, regardless of size, is greatly appreciated.

Enjoy a fun afternoon with Marisa from

Peace Aging Care in Flanders.

 

Marisa will be presenting her SPICE (SPECIALTY PROGRAM for INNOVATIVE & CREATIVE ENGAGEMENT)Activity Program at the library, featuring “Friendly Feud,” an interactive game inspired by the well-known television show. Participants will respond to questions on topics including Holidays & Seasons, Games & Hobbies, Nostalgia & Classic Television, and Health & Wellness. Teams will be set up and everyone will have a lot of fun trying to answer questions – it’s good for the brain!!


Marisa is our SPICE Team Manager. Marisa has been with the PeACE team since 2019 and had a pivotal role in developing our wildly popular SPICE Activity Program. She is a graduate of Kean University where she earned a BA in Recreation Therapy. Marisa is a skilled therapist with an enthusiastic and upbeat personality, the combination of which enables her to connect positively with all clients, regardless of their limitations.

Founded Peace Aging Care (PeACE) in 2006 specifically to aid seniors and their families in successfully navigating crisis situations, planning for future care needs, and getting more out of life every day. With a team of warm and compassionate care managers, we provide expert guidance through the confusing and often overwhelming world of senior care. We meet with individuals in their homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and nursing homes.

The Senior Resource Center would like to thank Melissa Nichols from Heath Village for giving a wonderful presentation on downsizing at our Lunch & Learn at the Chester Library this past Monday. We extend our sincere thanks to Heath Village for their very generous lunch; the sandwiches were delicious!

Chester Day is May 2


Chester Borough's Environmental and Open Space Committee and Chester Township's Environmental Commission are thrilled to announce that Chester Day 2026 will take place from 9AM to 1PM on Saturday, May 2!  

Chester Day is a great opportunity for all Chester residents to:

  • Give back to our community by helping with a variety of outdoor beautification projects (9AM-12PM)
  • Strengthen our sense of community by working alongside family, friends, and neighbors and sharing a tasty thank-you lunch at Chubb Park (12-1PM)

Township Police Department:


"We will be participating in the DEA's "National Take Back Initiative #30" on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 10AM-2PM. Please be advised that we cannot accept medications before or after this date & time. The bin will be located in the lobby of Police Headquarters, 1 Parker Road, Chester, NJ.


As per the DEA, we cannot accept IV solutions, injectables, epi-pens, or batteries. Vape pens can be collected, but ONLY AFTER the batteries are removed! Further, officers and other Township personnel cannot assist with the placement of items into the bin."

Our store is well organized and items are beautifully displayed. New items are added to the store on a weekly basis. All clothes are organized and sized for your convenience and we offer two dressing rooms. Our staff is friendly and helpful and love to see repeat customers.
