Youth in Grades 7-10 who want to be confirmed will meet from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Q. What is Confirmation?
A. Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. In the course of their Christian development, those baptized at an early age are expected, when they are ready and have been duly prepared, to make a mature public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism and to receive the laying on of hands by the bishop. — The Book of Common Prayer

In-person Confirmation classes for St. John’s Episcopal youth in grades 7-10 are back! We'll meet this fall October 17 through December 5 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. upstairs in the big Youth Room 304/305. It's a two semester Confirmation curriculum so we will continue in 2022 for eight more weeks prior to Confirmation Sunday. Topics taught by SJE mentors, members and clergy include:
  • Christian Hope
  • Forgiveness
  • Episcopal Identity
  • Eternity
  • The Sacraments
  • Holy Scripture

We served 91 Hagar’s families in our September drive through pantry! As we prepare for next month’s pantry, we find a need for laundry detergent with caps securely tightened to avoid spills in the collection bin. We always appreciate your kind donations of detergent, deodorant, toilet tissue, wipes, diapers, toothpaste, tooth brushes, feminine hygiene pads, and soap!
