SNAP = Housing Solutions
|
Your SAR held its Quarterly Membership meeting this week at the Mukogama Fort Wright Institute (pictured above).
Our luncheon guest speaker was Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners (SNAP) Housing Counseling Program Manager, Loretta Cael (pictured at left). Cael has 30 years of real estate and mortgage lending experience, and speaks from both head and heart on creating long-term housing solutions in our area. SNAP helped save almost 300 Spokane-area homes from foreclosure last year.
Have a client who has had a life-changing event and doesn't know how s/he is going to keep the house? You can be part of a solution with a call to SNAP.
Here's a clip of Loretta's remarks:
Also at the event, members enjoyed the premiere of a new marketing video for our REALTOR® Fun Night next month.

Tossing the Freeway Concept
|
|
LeAnn Bjerken / Journal of Business
|
Just as the Washington state Department of Transportation awaits the flow of transportation funding to resume construction on the North Spokane Corridor, new ideas are being floated for it, including
tossing the freeway concept for the remaining portion of the project.
Following a recent U.S. Department of Transportation-led workshop here, one Hillyard business leader suggests examining the possibility of
constructing a portion of the corridor as a modern surface street system, rather than a freeway.

Wire Fraud Email Notice Template
|
The following is an example of a notice you may wish to consider adding to your email signature line.
This notice should not serve as a substitute for educating your clients and other participants in your real estate transactions about email wire fraud.
For more information about best practices to avoid victimization by cyber criminals, see
Protecting Your Business and Your Clients From Cyberfraud.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Never trust wiring instructions sent via email. Cyber criminals are hacking email accounts and sending emails with fake wiring instructions. These emails are convincing and sophisticated. Always independently confirm wiring instructions in person or via a telephone call to a trusted and verified phone number. Never wire money without double-checking that the wiring instructions are correct.
