The Voice for Real Estate

Even successful real estate pros can have trouble retiring if they don't start building an asset base early.

An NAR priority in 2017 is to help its members become more comfortable investing in real estate for their own portfolio.

This video also covers the lame-duck session of Congress, rising mortgage interest rates, and how commercial real estate in small and large markets is faring differently.

Failed Well Inspection Contingency

Washington REALTORS ® Legal Hotline attorney, Annie Fitzsimmons, dips into her mailbag this week and brings up a question on Earnest Money for Failed Well Inspection Contingency.

Buyer had a Form 22E, Well Inspection Contingency, and the inspection failed.

The Buyer/Buyer's Broker terminated the purchase and sale agreement with a Form 34, but the Seller believes this was the wrong form.

Who is entitled to the earnest money?  If it was incorrect, what form should have been used?
