The Voice for Real Estate

FHA drops the mortgage insurance premium on FHA loans. Also, homeowners can benefit from mortgage debt cancellation relief in the 2017 tax year, if the lender signed an agreement in 2016 to write down part of the mortgage in 2017.

Other segments look at working with customers who have a criminal record, how to use social media without turning off followers, and what's ahead for sales this year.

An excerpt from a recent Real Estate Today radio show gives consumers a tip for saving for a down-payment.

See it all in this nine-minute video:

Fraud Warning

The Internet Storm Center shares this fraud warning:

Real estate transactions are some of the higher value transactions performed by individuals and organizations.

They often exceed hundreds of thousands of dollars in value, and for commercial properties, millions of dollars are quite normal.

Many buyers and sellers are not familiar with what is normal when it comes to real estate transactions.

Over the last few years, we have seen this exploited in a specific form of "Business E-Mail Compromise," where an attacker is injecting e-mails into conversations to trick the victim to transfer money to the wrong account.
