WR Call for Action!



CALL FOR ACTION -

Washington REALTORS® is sounding a Call for Action on two bills currently stalled in the Washington State Legislature that need our attention!

SB 5239, which addresses the impacts of the Supreme Court's Hirst water rights decision, and SB 5254, which improves the Growth Management Act's Buildable Lands Review process and provides funding for low-income and homeless housing programs.

Spokane County, through our elected Commissioners, is among the most pro-active counties in Washington State when it comes to seeking reasonable solutions to rural water rights, post-Hirst Decision.

The next opportunity for your clients to hear the latest news, and ask questions of our local officials, is Friday, May 19th, at the Spokane County Water Resource Center.

CRS 202: Sales Strategies will be taught at CenterPlace Event Center in Spokane Valley on Thursday and Friday, June 8th and 9th.

NOTE: CRS classes may be taken in any order.  You may take this 202 class even if you have never taken a CRS class before.

Bloomsday this Weekend

 




Spokane celebrates its own welcome to spring, this weekend, with the 41st running of Bloomsday - the largest timed road race in the world.



Fox28 has put together a list of what's new with Bloomsday this year - construction challenges top the list.  See the full list online here.


Hotels and restaurants will be busy all weekend, much of downtown Spokane will be closed Saturday night and Sunday morning, to accommodate upwards of 50,000 runners, walkers, and rollers.

REALTORS® come to Washington, DC, for special issues forums, committee meetings, legislative activities and the industry trade show.

The Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC) announces details for its 28th annual Mother's Day Open House Tour, the weekend of May 13-14.

This year's tour highlights some of Spokane's historic native rock structures: Glover Mansion, Westminster Congregational Church, C.C. Koerner House, Ralston & Sarah Wilbur House, Vera Water and Power Well House, Blakely Gardens, and Royal Riblet Mansion Grounds (now Arbor Crest Winery).
