SAR Lunch & Learn
|
2019 SAR President
Ken Sax presented a live and lively Lunch & Learn at the SAR, this week.
The topic:
Inspection & Inspection Response with Computation of Time - one of the most problematic areas in our contract, where most of the mistakes are made - mistakes that, ultimately, harm both brokers, both firms, both clients, and our industry as a whole.
We had a super turn out, as you can see (photo above), with some great learning going on.
Ken says "We will do it again!"

Locals don't want to Leave
|
The city where the most locals plan to stay put is Spokane, Wash.
It's also the city that is the most popular with out-of-towners who want to move in, according to a new analysis by realtor.com®.
The city is about four hours inland from Seattle and is known for its affordability compared to many other Western cities.
Far more buyers around Spokane are looking for homes in the city rather than outside the city, according to realtor.com®'s report.

SAR Veterans Day Ad
|
Perhaps you saw it in the Sunday edition of The Spokesman-Review this past weekend - an SAR display ad offering our salute to Veterans on Veterans Day.
The public-facing ad supports veterans with a message directed to home sellers and REALTORS
®, as their broker: "
When you list your home for sale, accept the loan type offered to those who protect the land under it. We believe in VA loans."
This ad supports the work of our VA Loan Work Group, convened this past summer, to encourage SAR members to be more active in promoting VA financing with their sellers.
Download your copy of the ad (pictured above),

RPR: Customized Cover Photo
|
It's often said that, "You only get one chance to make a first impression."
That couldn't be more true than in the real estate industry.
So when you find yourself sharing a report with a less than flattering cover photo, take a moment to update it.
The process is quick and simple, and can be done from the website or mobile app.

Unlock the Door
|
The housing inventory crisis in Washington has severely impacted affordable ownership opportunities across the state.
In many cases we need the federal government and our own local officials to help solve this crisis, but the state's legislature must play a role as well.
To help do that, we need to educate our elected officials about how the lack of affordable housing impacts the residents of our state.
Stories from constituents like you will be a powerful tool to help us motivate state legislators to focus on this critical issue that impacts homeowners and renters.
Please take a few minutes today to share the story.
What obstacles did you face? What was the outcome?
