Spokane Valley's Economic Development Division is partnering with StartUp Spokane and Tinderbox Consulting's Josh King to host a free "lunch and learn" workshop from Noon to 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, at Spokane Valley City H all, 10210 East Sprague Avenue.
 
The workshop will focus on helping businesses connect more successfully with customers via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media sites. Bring a sack lunch and lots of questions.

Education Excellence/Quarterly Meeting

Thursday, November 15th


Our fourth and final Education Excellence and Quarterly Membership Meeting will take place on Thursday, November 15th, at Centerplace Regional Event Center in Spokane Valley.
 
The Education Excellence class will be the required NAR Code of Ethics class (4.0 clock hours) which about half of all SAR members still need to take by the end of the year to maintain their REALTOR status.  
 
Pay just $25 for early registration on or before Monday, November 12th - cost goes up to $40 after that date.

The Spokane Eastern Washington Chapter of Women's Council of REALTORS invites all SAR members, affiliate members, and friends to its 2018 Fall Conference - Tuesday, September 25th, at the Davenport Grand Hotel. 
 
The Women's Council General Membership Meeting is from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and everyone is welcome!

There will be a $10 cover at the door for Non-Women's Council Members.

Our Special Guest Speaker is Terry Fossum (pictured at left) who is a leadership expert, television personality, adventurer, philanthropist and more.  
 
If you ever caught an episode of the FOX hit show, "Kicking and Screaming," you likely already know Terry!

He has an inspiring talk planned for us all about overcoming obstacles -- you're not going to want to miss this!

DUE BY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th
 
Nominations are open for directors to serve on your association board for 2019-2020.
   
There are five, two-year terms available on the board.

Nominees for directorships must be REALTOR® members of the Association who have: (i) served on a minimum of two (2) standing committees within the seven (7) years prior to the time of the election; (ii) served on one (1) standing committee within the three (3) years prior to the time of the election; or (iii) who are currently serving, or within the one (1) year prior to the time of the election have served, as President of the Young Professionals Network or President of the Women's Council of REALTORS®.
 
If a candidate has served on only one (1) standing committee within the three (3) years prior to the time of the election, that candidate must also attend two (2) Board of Directors meetings within the twelve (12) months prior to running for Director.
 
Candidate committee attendance must be at a minimum of 80%, inclusive of excused absences, in order for service on said committee to be used to meet eligibility requirements.

To place a name in nomination with the Nominating Committee, please complete the application, offered below.

The community-wide celebration is held each September at Mirabeau Point Park and CenterPlace Regional Event Center in the Spokane Valley.

Spokane Preservation Advocates will present six of Spokane's most beautiful, turn-of-the-century historic homes in its annual Fall Tour of Historic Homes, Sunday, September 30th.

This year's event will focus on houses built in the early 1900's around Corbin Park.
