Property Crime Rate Falls
|
Property crime rates remain a frequent complaint for Spokane residents, and newly-appointed police Chief Craig Meidl has listed addressing those rates as one of his top priorities.
But according to the FBI data, Spokane's property crime rate fell from 86 crimes per 1,000 residents in 2014 to 75 in 2015.
Put another way, that means the average resident's chance of being a property crime victim went from just under 1 in 12 to a little over 1 in 13.

Drones in Real Estate
|
Our TechHelpline blog has a good article on how the new drone rule is affecting the real estate industry.
The author asks:
Is it just a fad in the real estate industry?
The answer begins:
Visual imagery is compelling. And effective. Statistics show persuasive reasons why video dominates in marketing today, and why it is expected to continue being an important tool in the future. Innovators are finding ways to use the technology better each time, so even if you are not an 'early adapter', we encourage you to keep your eye on this trend and find an appropriate entry-point for your business.

REALTOR® Safety Month
|
September is REALTOR® Safety Month, a national initiative that was kindled by an event right here in Washington state.
The Spokane Association of REALTORS® is reminding its members about safety all this month. Our member communication is, necessarily, about personal safety - what to know, what to do, and what not do, when they're out working with clients - that's you - so everyone stays safe.
I thought this would also be a good time to offer some safety tips for new homeowners, specifically related to property.
2016 SAR President
SusieLuby shares more in her September guest column in
The Spokesman-Review,
online here.

Spokane MLS App now HOMESPOTTER
|
By now you should have changed from the Spokane MLS app to the new
Homespotter
mobile app. The Homespotter app has all the functionality and agent level details that our Spokane MLS app had, but it includes full Paragon integration and Client Collaboration!
The Homespotter app integrates with your Paragon account to give you access to Saved Searches, Listings Carts and Contacts in the app. Additionally, if you can input your listing, you can do updates for price, status and more directly from the app.
Client Collaboration lets you send an invite to your client and, when they install the app, they will have an app that is branded to you and allows them to share and comment on listings directly through the app and you will be notified of what they are viewing and saying.
Homespotter is available in the Apple Store and Google Play store through the links below:
Install Homespotter today and get started, then
watch this short video to learn how to work with it and invite your clients to participate.
