2024 WEF Awards - Nomination Window is NOW OPEN!

The nomination window for the annual WEF Recognition Awards is now open.

Each year, the Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc. accepts nominations for individuals or organizations that have made a difference within the School District of Waukesha and throughout the community. The WEF Recognition Awards include three separate categories: Corporate Partner in Education award, Community Partner in Education award, and the Sally Jo Michalko Lifetime Excellence in Education award.

These awards honor corporations, organizations, individuals, or educators that have made a significant contribution to education in the School District of Waukesha. WEF seeks nominees that are innovative examples of collaboration with the community that demonstrate our motto STRONG SCHOOLS=STRONG BUSINESSES=STRONG COMMUNITIES.

Information, nomination forms and a list of previous winners can be found online at http://sdwone.us/wefawards2024. The nomination deadline is December 31, 2024. Winners will be celebrated at the annual Evening for Education, planned for 3/18/25.

2024 Grant Winners Celebrated!

13 Schools. 34 Grants. $55,000 in impact to classrooms and programs.

For the first time in our history, the WEF award $55,000 in grants to educators within the School District of Waukesha. We are thrilled and excited to watch these grants be implemented within buildings and classrooms all across the district.

18th Annual WEF Golf Outing A Success!

The 18th Annual WEF Golf Outing was held on 8/1/24 and was a huge success. 172 golfers hit the links at Ironwood Golf Course and a great time was had by all! The event profited about $25,000 including annual sponsorship revenue. Special thanks to our SPONSORS, GOLFERS and VOLUNTEERS for making it a fantastic day. Funding the Future

The foundation was delighted to award nearly $50,000 in scholarships and awards to 47 deserving seniors from the School District of Waukesha. In addition, four $100 awards were given to four deserving middle school band students through the Jay Whitney Scholarship Fund. We were thrilled that some of our recipients could join us at our annual Partners In Education reception this past summer!
