Honolulu County Republican Party
|
Aloha Oahu Republicans,
It is truly humbling and a genuine privilege to be elected as your Honolulu County Chair. Every member of your county party's executive committee is chomping at the bit to make the powerful case for voting Republican to all Oahu residents.
I sincerely thank everyone who participated in the months-long process of electing new leadership in 2017; from participating in precinct and district caucuses, becoming delegates and alternates, and then travelling all the way to Hawaii Kai for our exciting county convention. The process of laying the necessary foundation for county success is making progress.
Now that our internal organizing elections for Honolulu County are over, the work of making our party great again truly begins!
Let me introduce you to your Honolulu County Republican Party's new executive officers who are now leading our 2018 election campaign already underway:
Vice Chair Boyd Ready
|

|
Treasurer John Kim
|
Vice Chair East Honolulu Eric Eads
|
Vice Chair West Honolulu Mela Kealoha-Lindsey
|

This movement requires
serious grassroots teamwork
if we are to turn our state around. Our most important task is making it easier for Republican candidates to get elected, even in the toughest of Democrat strongholds. With all the principles on our side and all the bad policies on theirs, the job of framing the debate over the next year should give brave prospective GOP candidates the courage to step forward with the confidence to run winning campaigns focused on our party's issues and solutions.
I am happy to report that since our county convention last Monday, we are already developing the tools needed for success in re-branding the Oahu GOP and reintroducing our party and our solutions to an electorate which has become disappointed with the ruling Democrats.
It will take real dedication by committed Republicans to reach the hundreds of thousands of Oahu residents with our message. That's where you come in.
Right now, our county committee has several vacant leadership positions to fill across the island, including the immediate need for three
district chairs
for the following state house districts.
- HD-21 (Kapahulu, McCully, Moiliili) - contact Eric Eads, Vice-Chair East Honolulu
-
HD-24 (
Makiki, Tantalus, Papakolea, McCully, Pawaa, Manoa
) - contact Eric Eads, Vice-Chair East Honolulu
- HD-29 (Kalihi, Palama, Iwilei, Chinatown) - contact Mela Kealoha-Lindsey, Vice-Chair West Honolulu
We are looking for dozens of
precinct chairs
to help organize and lead Republicans in Oahu neighborhoods. Nearly every one of the nearly 200 precincts need support in the fight to take back our government from the Democrats. If interested, please contact your district chair.
Their names, phone numbers, and email addresses are provided for your convenience
HERE.
Finally, in rebuilding Oahu's Republican Party organization, please know that your newly-elected executive officers will be holding our first official meeting on
12 April
. Action plans for messaging, issues advocacy, grassroots organizing, and much more are now being formulated. Both our executive committee and our entire county committee (which will be meeting on
22 April
) will put these action plans into effect in order to realize the full potential of a strong county organization.
I will send more information in the coming weeks. Please be ready to kokua, because we'll need everyone's help to turn our party around and give Democrats a lot to worry about. Thanks for your support of the Honolulu County Republican Party. With your help, you can expect great things going forward.
Mahalo,
BRETT KULBIS
Honolulu County Chair
